Bloody hell.
And certain right wing supporting posters on MN swear blind Reform and friends aren't coming for abortion legislation in the UK.

We have discussed the ADF on these threads before. They bankrolled the anti buffer zone activitist Livia Tossici-Bolt in Bournemouth and no doubt have encouraged and supported other groups.

Quite why they think they should have the right to intimidate women in such a way I dont know. Prayer can be carried out at home without needing to get in the face of women.

Essentially Reform are collaborating with foreign groups to change Parliamentary legislation.

I also note - "And in private briefings, they have supplied the Trump administration with attack lines that cast the British government as hostile to free speech."

So essentially working with a foreign government to attack our own democracy.

Seems pretty traitorous to me.

And they claim to be the ones protecting us Angry

Well said notonthestairs
I’ve been catching up on reading the links posted, makes for very sober & depressing reading comments on the blue sky thread regarding QT struck a chord does indeed feel as though we are being propelled towards a Reform government, dunno maybe the grassroot local Labour CLP need to do more ours is very active across the constituency the MP is out at least twice a month canvassing picking up on concerns etc & are ramping it up with local council elections due next May, also agree that the sheer amount of angry people seem to be increasing & so much of it imho mis-directed & it’s not just the parts of the electorate/communities who feel ignored can’t see prospects/housing/health being improved it’s also those who are comfortable in many aspects of life yet still spout hateful rhetoric it’s hard sometimes keeping positive & hoping the future doesn’t include fecking lying traitor spiv Farage & his unhinged supporters.

Yeah, about that ...

Tommy Robinson is so thick and so racist that he genuinely believes everyone in Bradford is brown.

You mean you don't always have cash on you? Nowt unusual about having 15 grand to hand just in case you need to, er, tip the, er, courier <cough>

Just put it in the boot for safe keeping for the owner of the car, we all do it Grin

I’d expect to be stopped driving such a Bentley and questioned about the cash. If I refused my phone details, due to vulnerable girls on it, I’d expect they thought I was purveying pornography 🤢
These type of checks should surely apply to everyone - and Tommeh (and followers) should surely agree the same with his obsession around ‘borders’.
It’s ridiculous his supporters accept all the bs - guess most of them aren’t getting to drive fancy Bentley’s with around £15k chucked in it.
Musk needs to stop interfering anyway, and also wake up to who Tommeh actually is.

Karistyleaftea · 13/10/2025 17:16

I have commented about the BBC giving so much air time to Reform. as have many others , for so long now.
Nadine Dorries claimed on LK yesterday that the UK government had done nothing to help resolve the terrible conflict.
She was allowed to say this unchallenged and it now appears to have been a downright lie.
I am proud to have Sir Keir as our PM. He has a leadership role in an excruciatingly challenging world and I want his no drama style of politics to re set the UK,

Makes the £30 emergency cash I have in my car seem a bit pathetic.

dontcallmelen · 13/10/2025 17:57

Makes my tenner feel wholly inadequate (note to self, up the emergency cash)

Valerie Amos challenged her very clearly. Patel doubled down regardless. Rhun ap Iorwerth‘s body language was priceless, he was watching Dorries in utter disbelief.

A part of the media is in meltdown because Starmer and Powell are in Egypt and being credited with playing an important role in the ceasefire deal.

I remember people being proud of the UK's achievements on world stage.

It would be churlish to suggest the media is upset as this means there is less space for them to cram the Daily Farage fought for the day.

I can#t help but remember a certain PM commenting on the "oxygen of publicity". ... Or in Nigel Farages case "the oxygen thief pf publicity".

SerendipityJane · 13/10/2025 18:08

I’d expect to be stopped driving such a Bentley and questioned about the cash.

I have a vague memory that police are allowed to confiscate large sums of money found in a search if the person searched cannot explain where it came from.

#justsayin'

Karistyleaftea · 13/10/2025 18:10

@Blossom I'm sorry, I meant the host LK did not challenge her . I perhaps wasn't clear.
Indeed Valerie did object, you are quite correct.
I'm just so fed up of the BBC currently obsessing about Reform !

We're coming for you. Notice how often he looks behind him. And everyone is being gracious. Yet, still he's still anxious and jittery. It was an awful speech. Someone needs to have words with him.

The glitches are driving me insane, constant reloading blank screen takings ages to type a response it’s infuriating.

Switch to duck duck go. I can barely use the site at all with Chrome, but DDG is fine.
