Pull up a chair for some friendly chit chat about politics, cats, dogs and much more

Taxes optional but greatly appreciated.

I have commented about the BBC giving so much air time to Reform. as have many others , for so long now.
Nadine Dorries claimed on LK yesterday that the UK government had done nothing to help resolve the terrible conflict.
She was allowed to say this unchallenged and it now appears to have been a downright lie.
I am proud to have Sir Keir as our PM. He has a leadership role in an excruciatingly challenging world and I want his no drama style of politics to re set the UK,

It’s fascinating the difference between how KS is perceived by the world in general and MN Labour. I suppose it’s doing no one any harm but it’s certainly hilarious.

MN anti labour will never have anything positive to say about KS, that started before he was elected PM.

Good that you don't feel sick anymore, just be careful with too much eyerolling.

Not true I accepted he would come to power. I thought he would be a dull pair of hands. Instead he’s told a whole load of fibs. His cabinet are the same. Bridget Phillipson’s interview with Trevor Phillips was shocking.

derxa · 13/10/2025 21:33

Dull safe pair of hands that should say. I just want the best for this country. If a government is doing well I’ll say so.

I was generalising, just like you.

@derxa Well howdy there! You often pop up when I saw how much I approve of our PM.
You have your opinion , I have mine and as we have free speech currently that is just how it should be.
Have you been sick though, sorry to hear that.

Karistyleaftea · 13/10/2025 21:43

Sorry that should be " @derxa
pops up when I SAY how much I approve of our PM , " not saw.

Cue more eye rolling.

You might like to know that there is a whole thread which seems obsessed with slagging off the posters on this one.😊 Right down to saying we are all old and smelly. 🤣It really is junior playground level stuff. No, scratch that, infants playground level. Juniors is a bit too sophisticated for that sort of insult.🤣

BIWI · 13/10/2025 22:04

derxa is a contributor to that thread, and also joins in with the slagging off.

I don’t indulge in personal insults. Keir Starmer has made a bloody old cod of himself. I didn’t expect that of him.

I don’t think I’ve ever called anyone old and smelly. I’m quite old and smelly myself. 🤣

Is that because of the sheep?😁

I might be old, but I smell of Chanel. My one little luxury. I am a Chanel socialist.

DuncinToffee · 13/10/2025 22:21

I think the old 🍊was quite smelly going by the reactions of the other leaders, it was more than just his insane rambling.

The rambling was extra rambley. I wonder if he will make it to the end of his term in office.

MaybeNotBob · 13/10/2025 23:17

So UKIP's new logo seems quite, er, fascist-y...

Well they wouldn't be wrong.

I've given up and downloaded duckduckgo. Got myself a temporary ban by cloudfare in the process. Now if just keeps asking if I want to import my password, even though I'm logged in.

Fresh as a daisy, me. Just out of the shower and all that.

Notonthestairs · 14/10/2025 07:30

So lurking here and then scuttling elsewhere to name call.

Really bloody weird behaviour.

itsgettingweird · 14/10/2025 07:57

Well if people are name calling and making assumptions we are all Starmer lovers they clearly haven’t read any of our threads!

The irony for me is I’m more of a Labour supporter now than I was pre the last Tory party!

I wouldn’t vote Reform or Tory now whereas previously it was just reform and its former namesakes!

pointythings · 14/10/2025 08:17

I did sneak a peek yesterday and honestly, it's all sound and fury signifying nothing over there. And then we get accused of being an echo chamber... 😂
