Labour isn't working - Thread 6

A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. Labour isn't working.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Loving the shiny new thread and seeing more people finding their home.

I feel like I’m in my safe space here as all around me are people who are denouncing the Tories as being the equivalent of murderers.

When will people realise the shitshow unfolding is because of Starmer and co.?

I saw a clip on FB this morning of Thatcher saying it’s common sense to return illegal immigrants to their home country just as anyone who leaves Britain and tries to live illegally elsewhere should be returned to us. It’s hardly rocket science, is it? Yet, we have moved so far away from this. We need common sense to return to our government. Sadly? That’s not going to be during this term, is it?

The worse Labour perform, the more they shout about Tories and Reform. Its all they've got left

TheNuthatch · 22/08/2025 20:12

Evening all.
Wow lots of new names on the thread this week. Welcome all 😁.
There were only a few of us when we started around 6 months ago. I'm determined to keep this going until we can finally get rid of this shower of shite.

Thanks for the heads up on Yemm @ThePhantomoftheEcobubbleOpera . He's also been praising the Trump administration's immigration policies. Has the penny started to drop that maybe scrapping Rwanda was a tad premature? Lucy Connolly has done an interview and has also made some friends stateside. One to watch.

Just checking in. I thought I was the only one on here that is totally disgusted with this excuse for a regime, headed by an over promoted robotic solicitor with the charisma of a dead hedgehog, the looks of an Easter Island statue and voice which is probably infringing Zippy's copyright.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Brilliant.

That is without contest the best description of Starmer I've ever heard. Bravo 👏
An Easter Island statue with the voice of Zippy 😂

It is indeed a shower of shite. They’ve managed to alienate so many groups in society. I remember like yesterday driving up the A1 and listening to the budget. Inheritance tax on family farms. At that point I was done.

Hollyohara · 22/08/2025 20:50

Oh no! First @twistyizzy calls me a dry robe wanker , now @SockThiefVictim ruins my moai photograph by comparing it to Starmer. And now I can’t unsee it!

Yep, I can imagine how that felt. Utterly moronic. Same for me when I heard Reeves anounce the increased taxes on business.
Now she's crying and confused because a £50bn black hole appeared from no-where. I wonder how that happened!

I was very happy when I saw Starmer needing his rescue helicopter because protesting farmers had surrounded him. Tw@t. He was still wearing his bob the builder costume when they dropped him off at downing street. 😂

Parsley4321 · 23/08/2025 06:40

Nearly 800k calling for a general election now I mean for the love of god would you not think something was a bit wrong if you were one of those front genchers. I’ve never heard of a petition calling for a GE ever especially started after 6 months 🤣🤣🤣🤣

ThePhantomoftheEcobubbleOpera · 23/08/2025 07:00

David Blunkett is calling for a temporary suspension of the ECHR, such as the one in Germany, to stop failed asylum seekers from appealling their deportations and languishing in hotels for longer.

The narrative up until ten minutes ago was that criticism of the ECHR was a far-right, Brexit-bopping pipedream but it's clear that there is more consensus across all parties that it is a legislative weight around our ankles than the true believers would like to admit.

It won't be the first time they have had egg on their face, rallying for the government only for the wind to change - leaving them out in the cold, but the itch to paint the critics as bogeymen is just far too satisfying not to fall for it again and again. And this is why only 13% of people approve of this government.

Has anyone seen this? Had a good chuckle at it: Farage like garage.

Seems very unlikely.

My bank hasn’t sent any information.

What’s this new rule supposed to be for?

SpottyCheeseEater · 23/08/2025 08:30

I can't get over how incompetent the most important people are from Starmer, reeves, fucking rayner fgs, Lammy!!, Cooper. All are idiots with horrible track records. Nobody outside the UK respects these bunch of clowns.

Good Q and that's why i was querying it because I can't find anything in print to verify it and I don't just believe what's on X.
