Labour isn't working - Thread 6

TheNuthatch · 22/08/2025 15:23

A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. Labour isn't working.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Thank you for this!!!
Has been lonely for a long time.
Luckily a friend pointed my at podcasts like

which have helped help survive the madness around us.

No need to be lonely xx We are all here fighting the fight and we pretty much out number the supporters at this stage. The dearth of posts crowing about Labour proves that.

And also hello 👋 to the Labour supporters who are lurking but don't comment

Hello! Hoping for politicians to up their game…

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 22/08/2025 15:44

Only four years to go.

Mind, it probably won’t be four years of the wretched spineless, charisma-free, pathetic little man called Starmer.

Anyway, I look forward to plenty of opportunity for laughing at Labour incompetence, dishonesty and hypocrisy.

His action to oppose the decision in Epping shows he knows this is the hill he will die on.
More waste of taxpayer money

Arrearing50 · 22/08/2025 15:47

Hahaha - don’t worry, I’m not holding my breath!! I can’t think of a single good policy so far…

Ooo a new thread. Like a lovely new writing pad 😂. I’ve name changed. I’m bored of @absent (even though it’s a phrase from a favourite abba song).

I think Starmer’s done this ref Epping as he knows his time is running out. God knows who’ll replace him. They’re all as terrible as each other.

TwoTierBbq · 22/08/2025 16:22

Yes Epping has certainly been an interesting turn of events ,almost broaching a type of civil war !

mumda · 22/08/2025 16:24

Andy Burnham has come out and said he didn't think hotels were ever a good idea.

I don't think he's ever made a statement about them before.

Someone on one thread has suggested these hotels would have gone bust without tax payers money to fill them with AS.

Well, tbh that's what should have happened. A business that can not survive without government support isn't a business.

And those business owners are now mopping up gravy and not doing any work.

Our local hotel has had AS men in it for 5 years.

Yogabearmous · 22/08/2025 16:25

Thank you for the thread!

D23456789 · 22/08/2025 16:36

Thanks for the new thread. Just escaping from my local community FB page and comments about the flags. Interestingly, support has been overwhelmingly positive; there are just a few that have gone crazy with the insults.

EmpressoftheMundane · 22/08/2025 17:35

Checking in!

ThePhantomoftheEcobubbleOpera · 22/08/2025 18:19

Thanks for the new thread @TheNuthatch

Labour MP Steve Yemm is calling for a return of the Rwanda plan, saying a deterrent is effective and necessary. It follows the comments of Graham Stringer, who is the first Labour MP to say we should withdraw from the ECHR.

Bit of a headache brewing for Starmer, I think.

Parsley4321 · 22/08/2025 18:24

Poor Starmer living his best life on holiday fucking idiot

Ooo that is an interesting turn of events. Mind you Starmer et al can’t stand Burnham. I think he’s too competent for them.

It is private companies like SERCO working for the home office - bring paid by us to sort out the ‘Asylum seekers’ into hotels. The hoteliers being paid also of course. By us.

So this shower of shit won’t go away easily. Too many people are making too much money from too many high value government contracts. Paid for by us.

And so. It is now our main intention to pay as little tax as legally possible. We will also prioritise private school pupils to offset labours errant social engineering.

Fuck you Labour.

🤣 if only they hadn't scrapped it

Wishihadanalgorithm · 22/08/2025 19:30

Loving the shiny new thread and seeing more people finding their home.

I feel like I’m in my safe space here as all around me are people who are denouncing the Tories as being the equivalent of murderers.

When will people realise the shitshow unfolding is because of Starmer and co.?

I saw a clip on FB this morning of Thatcher saying it’s common sense to return illegal immigrants to their home country just as anyone who leaves Britain and tries to live illegally elsewhere should be returned to us. It’s hardly rocket science, is it? Yet, we have moved so far away from this. We need common sense to return to our government. Sadly? That’s not going to be during this term, is it?
