Anyone else appalled and shocked at Dawn French's social media video mocking the reaction to the terror attack in Israel on Oct 6th. What on earth was she thinking ? She comes across as horrible and lacking in any empathy. I feel sorry for the innocent people on both sides of this war, in Palestine and in Israel.

What about slavery and what black people went through or doesn't that matter. The royal family profited from their pain. What are you defending?

Put yourself in the position of the victims of October 7th - try to imagine what it must be like to hear a British comedian adopt a babyish voice and mocking tone when talking about the horror they experienced as a “bad thing” .

For you the use of a whining baby voice to dismiss the torture/ rapes and murders of October 7th is ok .

You refer to October 7th as “that” ( a term to dismiss and minimise ) and you say it is an “excuse “ for “ the most appalling conduct “.

I don’t agree with any part of her revolting post.

It was a deeply unintelligent post that focused on mocking / demonising anyone who sympathises with Israelis - rather than focusing on expressing compassion for the horrific plight of innocent Palestinians.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has instructed the military to screen graphic footage of the October 7 Hamas attacks for Greta Thunberg’s group of activists, who attempted to break the blockade on Gaza this week.

The “Bearing Witness” video is a 43-minute compilation produced by the Israel Defense Forces spokesperson’s unit.

It includes raw, uncensored footage showing massacres and the mutilation of bodies during the attack.

Katz said the screening was intended to confront the activists with the reality of the violence committed by Hamas.

“It’s appropriate that Greta the antisemite and her Hamas-supporting friends should see exactly who is the terror group Hamas that they support and act on behalf of, what atrocious acts they carried out on women, the elderly and kids, and who Israel is fighting for its defence against,” Katz said in the statement.

No one joined the war to liberate the Jews. If Hitler hadn’t invaded and occupied other countries, he would have been left to do as he pleased with the people in concentration camps.

You missed the Yugoslave wars then , Srebrenica , Vukovar. The massacres of Palestinians in 1948 /57 / 82 / 2014 and continuing. Grozny. Iraq.

…and so, what is being done to help the Palestinian people? Dawn French tried to highlight what’s going on and what is wrong. She mis-stepped with her post. But we ALL know what her intention was…
