Anyone else appalled and shocked at Dawn French's social media video mocking the reaction to the terror attack in Israel on Oct 6th. What on earth was she thinking ? She comes across as horrible and lacking in any empathy. I feel sorry for the innocent people on both sides of this war, in Palestine and in Israel.

If you're Jewish you know how she meant it because you've heard it a thousand times before. Like you've heard people who aren't Jewish explaining how you've got it all wrong, racism isn't racism and how could the Jews suffer when we run the world (and, as has already been dog whistled on this thread) the media. Really we just like whining and playing victim as we go about our white colonial ways.

She is talking about what is going on now and how she feels about it.

I don't believe all Israelis or Palestinians want this war and the majority on here can not speak for them. Like yourself and Dawn French and even myself we all have an opinion. None of us can talk for the Israeli people or Palestinian people this is their war but while the world watches we will all have our own opinions. You can't cancel everyone for having an opinion.

I don’t believe in cancelling people even if they have horrible views. I do believe in the right to publicly call out objectionable hateful views like this so that they don’t infect the public discourse

My views are not hate filled at all. I think we all agree celebs should not make highty offensive statements in silly voices, leave it up for 24hrs then take it down once every one has seen it with a 'whoopsie naughty me' non apology.
