Friend took the last jacket potato ...would you be annoyed ?

We went to a cafe yesterday
We got there at 2pm and as we walked in they said all they had left was jacket potato or prawn sandwiches /ham and egg pie
I said to my friend I will get the jacket potato as I don't like any of the other choices.
My friend she was getting the ham and egg pie.
She was stood in front
Then she said actually il get a potato instead
We got to the front and I said "can we get two jacket potatoes please"
The lady said they only had 1 left and my friend pipe up "oh il take that please with Tuna" what you going to get ?
I double check what they have and say again I don't like anything else so il just get a tea.

Then she sat there and smirked "oh can't believe they only had 1 left "

She either misunderstood that you didn’t like anything else, or she’s a nob. I think that I’d have fumed inside, but really you should have left her there to find some other cafe for you to have something to eat. Then I would consider if she’s the type of friend you want. Is it a one off regarding unkind behaviour towards you?

Why didn't you just leave and go somewhere else for lunch? No one forced you to stay and not have any lunch.

She's shown you her true character - selfish and enjoying watching you when you're upset - so you'd be crazy to stay friends with her.

I would have let friend get her order in and then said I’m eating elsewhere and left her there to ‘enjoy’ her potato in peace.

At the point the info about only one JP was known and your friend said she would take the JP, I think I would have said something like 'we need to go somewhere else because there are not enough JPs for us both to order something we want'.

If your friend said she was staying at that point you leave her to it and go elsewhere or home. The menu has to work for both people.
