What cosmetic procedures have you had done?

Just out of curiosity!
I'll go first. I'm 30.

Botox
Lip filler
Tear trough (this has to be one of my faves)
Nose filler
Composite bonded veneers (no shaving of teeth!)
Labiaplasty
Chin lipo
Gel nails
Individual lashes (no crazy spider lashes)
Tanning moisturiser every 2 weeks
Pedicure every 4.
Hair cut and highlighted every 3 months

Looking at that list I realise it's quite high maintenance. I'm curious as to what other posters have had done. And what has changed your life and can't live without?

Also, no need for the usual lot to come on and fall over themselves to tell us that they've had nothing done. I know it's not for everyone! :)

So you don't want a pile on of judging, I get that, your body, your choice. But I do feel sorry for you nonetheless, that you felt the need to do all that to yourself at only age 30.

MrsSethGecko · 19/12/2024 09:29

One veneer because I broke a front tooth, and hair cut twice a year and dyed once every six weeks. Age 42.
I used to get acrylic nails but I can't wear them in my current job.

Honestly no need to feel sorry for me, it's given me so much confidence.

Chemotherapy (lots of it) destroyed my face and teeth, and took away so much volume. I hated myself afterwards. These have made me feel completely myself again.

I'm 40. None. Well, other than my hair dyed every 2-3 months.
I've had LVL a couple of times, but had it go wrong so I don't have that anymore. Also had my eyebrows waxed occasionally.
I'd not rule things out, but I'm pretty lucky in that I look reasonably youthful still.

I love an LVL, I haven't had one done in years and am thinking about going back to it to give my lashes a break.

Would you try classic lash extensions? I've got personally been a fan of the Russian lashes but the classics are much softer.

Absolutely none. I have rigorously looked after my skin my whole life and done weights and exercise almost every day as an adult. Now 59 and do not have a single wrinkle although my neck is starting to look crepey.

Parker231 · 19/12/2024 09:41

I have my hair cut every six weeks.

TotallyTwisted · 19/12/2024 09:43

Well, I am neither vain nor made of money so none of that apart from the haircut. Like a normal person.

popandchoc · 19/12/2024 09:45

Age 38
Hair highlighted and cut every 3 months
Gel nails a few times a year
Had my eyebrows tinted and waxed before but not for a while
Eyelashes have been tinted before
Composite bonding (on two front teeth) and whitening on teeth

Snoken · 19/12/2024 09:46

I get my hair cut and coloured a few times a year + the odd facial, that's it I think. I don't even paint my nails. Oh, well I do have a crown but that's because the tooth broke and you can't see it unless you ask me to open wide so I don't think that counts.

I was a model for most of my teens and early 20s and now at mid-40s and post divorce I have picked it up again and most of the jobs I get is because I am natural and fresh faced looking. Not fresh faced as a 20 year old but as a 40+ woman. I wouldn't mess with my looks unless something traumatic happened to me and I no longer look the same.

feelingbsck2reality · 19/12/2024 09:48

Abed 40

Cheek filler
Jaw filler
Naso (don't know how to spell if) lines
Botox
Have the usual dermarolling/dermaplaning regularly
Hair extensions

Would have more if I could afford if

I too am a normal person. I have my hair coloured, brows waxed and tinted, lashes lifted and tinted, and acrylic or gel nails at all times. What part of that makes me not normal?

No need to be a dick to the OP who has clearly said this has given her a much needed confidence boost after chemo.

Jeezitneverends · 19/12/2024 09:49

Age 54
hair highlighted since I was 15
Eyebrows threaded every few weeks
fillers in marionette lines

Ive lost a huge amount of weight -over 14 stone-and have a LOT of very loose wrinkly skin all over. I’m too chicken to have it removed, so a bit of face filler helps, but I’m still way more wrinkly than my age would suggest. Yes it gets me down sometimes, but not as far down as before I lost weight so I’m winning

Ooooo, I like the dig there.

I am also a normal person too, it's very usual for people in my area to have treatments done.

Does a labiaplasty tighten things up down there or is it just for the aesthetic?

Ive had botox (not something i do regularly as it wears off after 3 months too expensive to upkeep, maybe once or twice a year if ive got somewhere to go and it does make a big difference), cheek filler I've had once and its still there, lost a lot of weight and my face looked like it had dropped, chin filler (I originally went for lip filler but was told my chin was very receded and she wouldn't do it without the chin or my lips would protrude out and the chin would look worse), lip filler (pretty much dissolved now. I'm too scared to have them done again as I wanted a subtle, natural enhancement, and they were too "filled" and unnatural for my liking, but I was too scared to dissolve them so waited for them to go themself)

Also had natural looking under the muscle breast implants last year, as I was flat and always have been. Wouldn't let DH see me naked, no one had ever seen me naked. Couldn't go for a shower without having a panic attack and checking the door was locked a million times. I was bullied throughout school for being flat, think I had some PTSD and body dysmorphia perhaps? But I came in to a bit of inheritance and got them done and I feel so much better. They are very natural I wish I'd gone bigger now but the relief of not having a panic of being naked or not being able to look at myself in the mirror has been life changing for me.

I also had a mole removed if this counts that was on my bottom lip line many years ago. It was a big brown mole, right on my lip line that was very obvious. I never wore lipstick as the mole would then turn the lipstick colour as it was obviously attached to my lip and then I'd have a pink/ red / whatever colour lipstick mole and I used to hate it.

What an incredible career though, a model in your 20s and 40s. You must be very beautiful, I have huge respect for that!

Do you enjoy it like you did in your 20s?

Do the nasalabial (I think that's what it is?) hurt? It's rising in popularity where I am, I'm intrigued!

@finchyyy just ignore the judgement, they get a kick out of you defending what you do.

I’ll admit I used to be a bit judgmental about some procedures…till I needed to do it for myself! The fillers I have probably aren’t even noticeable to anyone else, but I know these deep lines aren’t as deep (took 2ml each side, THAT’s how deep they are!) and thats all that counts

I’ve had a bread reduction, tummy tuck and thigh reduction.

I’ve also had my teeth whitened.

I pain my own toes (gel) every 4 weeks or so.

that’s it.

@finchyyy
It doesn't hurt it's just a bit uncomfortable but results are definitely worth it. I've had it done twice about 2 years apart

From my friendships group and family no one has had any treatments - bar hair cuts, dental check ups.

I get my legs, bikini, lip, chin and eyebrows waxed regularly

I have a pedicure done three times over the summer

That's it :) I'm 33
