Anything at all that you found whether it be a bargain or a life hack... feel free to share. I'll try to think of some too

Does cheapy silicone toe separators to soothe my developing bunions count!? 😆 #glam

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 17/11/2024 17:08

I've just eaten the Xmas KFC Burger for the first time with stuffing in and it was unexpectedly really nice.

The gym. I’m 48. I decided it was time to take care of myself for my future self. I go every morning at 6am. And I found I enjoy it! Love weight training.

i also have cleaned up my food. And I can honestly say I have never felt better.

cleowasmycat · 17/11/2024 17:17

I had the first of this years Festive Bakes from Greggs today.

AuxArmesCitoyens · 17/11/2024 17:18

Silent hiking videos on YouTube, especially Harmen Hoek. On days when I work from home, half an hour on the treadmill, headphones on, watching one of his videos is a fabulous way to carve out an easy bit of me time at the end of work before the second working day with the kids kicks in.

CollisionCourse · 17/11/2024 17:19

Ooh yes, the gym. Well, actually swimming. It's been a few months since I'm regularly back in to it but it has been so lovely. And waterproof headphones - marvellous discovery 😄
I haven't had the motivation to clean up my diet properly though as per pp. Small steps!

GagaBinks · 17/11/2024 17:25

ChatGPT. It has absolutely changed my life. Mostly professional, but I'm using it for personal stuff too. Game changer.

ohyesido · 17/11/2024 17:33

Pink moscato from Sainsbury's. Beautiful stuff

Canogapark · 17/11/2024 17:35

0% Guinness and blackcurrant. Bloody lovely.

How so?!

Bananaram · 17/11/2024 17:45

Revolution Laundry. No more constant cycle of washing clothes, putting them on the airer, waiting 2-3 days for everything to dry, spending hours ironing.

Now we do all our washing at the end of the week, shove it in huge bags and take it to the huge industrial drier. £3.50 and all our washing is dry and ready to be folded and put away. I still have to iron/steam most things (because I'm fussy) but now most things just need a quick going over and they're done. Can't believe I didn't know about this sooner.

How so?!

It helps me plan lessons by making resources/worksheets; it writes emails for me; I can upload my handwritten lesson observations notes and it types it up as a fluid email; it can generate photos of exactly what I want to represent an idea; it can create schedules, reports, do calculations... it has honestly halved my work load. I feed it the info, it does the hard work, then I edit it to make it exactly what I want. I'd never go back!

Swimmingatdusk · 17/11/2024 17:51

Underwood’s high shine slip resistant floor polish! Other floor polishes seem just too slippy for safety but I must admit it was amusing watching the poor dog try to cope for a day or two until the scuffs took the slip and shine off.

BackOnTheAntibiotics · 17/11/2024 17:54

A water distiller. The stinking yellow, gritty, chemical soup that is left at the bottom is something to behold.

Derogations · 17/11/2024 17:54

Vinted don’t just do clothes. Who knew?

Sallycinnamum · 17/11/2024 18:05

I echo AI although I use Copilot at work.

As 50% of my work is writing reports, presentations and various other comms it's completely revolutionised my working life. It even helps me put together tricky emails when I'm not entirely sure how to structure them.

Scrimt · 17/11/2024 18:15

I bought a counter top dishwasher for my tiny kitchen and I lurve it.

Which ones do you use? Are they Bluetooth?

My ears go under water so they never work for me

MissKittyFantastico84 · 18/11/2024 13:01

ELF primer (the green one in a tube). It makes my make up look so much better!

@Bananaram This sounds brilliant. Doesn't it shrink clothes? I can't tumble dry everything. I wish I could!

How long does it take and do you have to hang about?

desidi · 18/11/2024 13:21

that you can click on Reader button to read all those news articles which are behind a paywall. I didn't know you could do this. Game changer!

Art journalling is my latest hobby and I'm really enjoying it.

Possibly a stupid question, but do you have to stand by the machine while it dries your clothes? If not, could anyone come and open it and steal your stuff. The one nearest to us is in a really rough part of the city. I looked on the website but couldn't find an answer.

Comedycook · 18/11/2024 13:40

Despite living in the area for my whole lie I'd never realised there was an outdoor swimming pool.... I've started going even in the cold. It's wonderful

DecayingRelic · 18/11/2024 13:41

Cillit Bang Bathroom mousse

Just spray it all over bath and shower, leave 5 mins and rinse off, no scrubbing or bending down, nice and shiny
