Nelson's tea tree cream. For acne, scars, athletes foot, toenail fungus, any kind of cut, scab, itching or sore skin. It heals them all. 10x better than Savlon or similar.

My 8kh washing machine broke down last week and I replaced it with a 10kg and it makes a big difference. I can wash so much more per load.

Those small vividly orange pumpkins are absolutely delicious. I’ve been blending them in soups or roasting with olive oil.

Roast them with sage and butter. You can eat them whole then or blend to a soup, but oh they're so nice with sage. The little white ones even more so - spaghetti squash is another name for them.

Underwood’s high shine slip resistant floor polish! Other floor polishes seem just too slippy for safety but I must admit it was amusing watching the poor dog try to cope for a day or two until the scuffs took the slip and shine off.

Is it really properly non-slippy? We had our hall floor re-sanded a couple of years ago and asked for a non-slippery finish but it's still too slippy for our dog so we've had to cover it with a runner. This might be the answer to my prayers though!

When I have my morning coffee I've started voice journalling about what I want to achieve during the day, rather than scrolling. I have ADHD and this is helping me focus. A lot!

This sounds good, what app do you use ?.

Oh yes, these are the business. I discovered this when I cut/bashed/grazed my elbow to smithereens and couldn't bear anything on it. Someone recommended hydrocolloid dressings and I braved it - great decision!

How are they different from normal plasters?

bamboosockmonster · 18/11/2024 19:43

as per username, bamboo socks. so soft and nice to wear!

sammyjoanne · 18/11/2024 19:45

ChatGPT. It has absolutely changed my life. Mostly professional, but I'm using it for personal stuff too. Game changer.

What do you use it for in your personal life?

Bananaram · 18/11/2024 19:56

Because I haven't lived with a tumble dryer for 12 years and I've been spending those past 12 years in the miserable wash/dry/iron cycle of misery.
I now can go to our shopping centre car park and dump a week's worth of our families washing in a drier and it will be dry and relatively crease-free in 30 minutes. Without even having to talk to a soul, which my anti-social self truly appreciates!

Plus, the machines are literally called Revolution Laundry 😁

What do you use it for in your personal life?

My most recent threads for personal stuff was:

  1. I told it some ingredients I had knocking around in my kitchen and asked it to get me a few recipes to use them up either using air fryer or slow cooker, then I told it to delete any that took longer than 10 mins to prep.
  2. my friend runs a "top 3 list" type of podcast and asked me for my top 3 'cancelled celebs'. I couldn't think of any so I asked chatgpt to send me a list of big cancelled names and then I picked which ones I put forward for the podcast.
  3. I was curious how much I earned per hour on my salary so I asked it to calculate it for me. I know I could use a calculator but I quite honestly didn't know what to put in so I just wrote it as a question to ChatGpt and it did all the hard work and I got my answer.

Those are just 3 examples. I have many more!

Aldi’s Bramwells tomato soup genuinely tastes the same as Heinz! I never would have believed it and discovered it by chance.

Boba tea. I know, I know, the "yoof" love it. Don't care, it's absolutely delicious and I've just ordered tapioca pearls to make my own.

I used a launderette at 19 in my first flat. In 1982. Why are they seen as revolutionary?!

Think it's the name of a chain rather than a description

What is art journalling?

Using old newspapers and sellotape to make environmentally friendly biodegradable disposable knickers. It's amazing how many you get out of a Metro... Even more from the new weekly 75 page free 'The London Standard.' I haven't tried City A.M. although it looks a bit flimsy... not many sheets.

They do make a bit of a rustling sound if you are walking fast though.

Try having your PowerPoint open yourself & then ask it to suggest TLA activities around XYZ subject to last 15 mins of lesson time etc. Then copy & paste what you like into your PowerPoint. I upload texts into it & ask it to read it & make reading comprehensive questions based on it. It can also make quizzes etc. You just got to feed it the right info.

I'm currently experimenting with it marking student work. I've fed it my mark scheme, then took a photo of my student's work (handwritten) & asked it to mark it using said mark scheme... and it did! It said why it gave it what it did & also generated targets for what the student needed to do to get higher marks. Honestly, it's blowing my mind daily.

I don't know how old your students are, but I do know that older students use ChatGPT to do their homework... and then marked by teachers using ChatGPT... not sure how this ends 🤔
