I quite like it. Looks restful

Bubbhye · 03/03/2024 10:16

It looks like a victorian work house that's been cleaned up.

It's awful.

Twatneighbours · 03/03/2024 10:17

Even the shoes in the hallway match.

piealhxiprshl · 03/03/2024 10:17

I don't mind the colour scheme, I quite like neutrals, but hate the texture of the walls, looks like drying plaster, and the wood under the stairs is a weird look too.

SnarkMode · 03/03/2024 10:17

It looks like a section of the Next catalogue... not in a good way.

Eyesopenwideawake · 03/03/2024 10:17

It's gorgeous! Not good for six muddy dogs though.

TitusMoan · 03/03/2024 10:18

It looks as if the residents aren’t allowed to wear colour either, if their boot room is anything to go by. Contrast that with the house in Prescot which was on here recently and which has been derided for being over decorated - that was a friendlier, more welcoming home than this.

Ginmonkeyagain · 03/03/2024 10:18

I like the way they have painted the walls to look like they have damp.

It's not for me but I wouldn't call it an absolute horror show.

It'll be nice and easy for new buyers to add a splash of colour here and there, with accessories and that.

muddyford · 03/03/2024 10:19

Looks as though the photos have been printed in sepia. Like a White Company catalogue. They obviously don't have working dogs.

The mud would tone in with the rest of the brown.

noblegiraffe · 03/03/2024 10:19

If you're paying £4500 a month, you'd want a bedroom that didn't look like it had just been vacated by a peasant.

terriblyangryattimes · 03/03/2024 10:19

It looks the the sort of house an Instagram 'homesteader' type mum would live in to me. All the kids would be dressed in shades of neutral pinafores with knee high socks and brown cardigans, with unbrushed hair, often spotted holding posies of flowers picked from the garden.

Midnlghtrain · 03/03/2024 10:19

I'm not the biggest fan of the line wash paint in every room, but I love the styling! It's so calm looking, I love clean neutrals at home - it relaxes my mind. It's definitely a labour of love with a house like that, it looks like so much effort has been put in.

😂

BrambleyHedge · 03/03/2024 10:20

I don't mind it but it isn't real. Where are the trainers, the brightly coloured waterproofs on the hooks, the kids books which aren't beige, the electrical gadgets. Feels a bit like Jane Austen's Bennetts are selling it.

I think it’s lime washing, but I’ve seen it done better!

Ilovemyshed · 03/03/2024 10:21

Don't see the problem here, presuming you are not planning to rent it? Its restful, very staged for the photos. So what.

terriblyangryattimes · 03/03/2024 10:21

Where is the telly?!
After another look it does remind me of whe. You go to a 'living museum' where each house is set up from a period in time... It's the quaint wooden desk in the kids bedroom that's a bit sad

DarkDarkNight · 03/03/2024 10:22

Wow they really went all out on the limewash paint didn’t they? I actually like the look and have a lot of similar images saved on IG. I think it’s a bit much over the whole house though.

The child’s book ledge is a bit sad, are they only allowed books that fit the aesthetic? No Hungry Caterpillar or Jolly Postman unless they publish a nice muted beige version.

Waitingfordoggo · 03/03/2024 10:22

I love the wooden doors, tables and bed frames but yes the overall effect is drab and dreary and brown and grey. Whatever effect has been used on the walls just makes them look grubby.

I don’t really understand the clothes and bags hanging up in the cloakroom(?) area. Looks like they only wear brown and a bit of blue. Reminds me of a particular religious group or era but I can’t place it.

Tozin · 03/03/2024 10:22

It’s a rental.
Find me another rental that’s been decorated beautifully to accommodate to everyone’s tastes

MyLadyTheKingsMother · 03/03/2024 10:23

I mean, it's not terrible but I wouldn't want to live there.

I'd feel like I was in a museum or something. Like a PP said, bit like a cleaned up victorian workhouse.

RichardsGear · 03/03/2024 10:23

Looks very interiors magazine staged but I do like it.

MermaidEyes · 03/03/2024 10:23

Thought I was looking at old sepia photographs for a minute. I love neutrals, lots of grey/white/beige but this is too bland. Also, the price. Is that to rent?! 😱
