It's absolutely beautiful!

JustJessi · 03/03/2024 19:58

I agree @Ginmonkeyagain its depressing. It reminds me of ‘a series of unfortunate events’. Those children’s bedrooms are horrendous

Notchangingnameagain · 03/03/2024 20:01

Love it. Would love a house that perfect.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 03/03/2024 14:27

To be fair, after she'd spent over five hundred notes on a beige viscose sack, viscose leggings, viscose undershirt and cotton jumper to try and keep warm, seeing Persephone in a red coat would make her feel like she's in an Amish Schindler's List.

Hahaha!!!

bombastix · 04/03/2024 10:12

My hope is that the Sad Beige woman does this house as I could do with a good laugh.

TonTonMacoute · 04/03/2024 10:50

I don't hate it, but I find it odd how all the rooms are exactly the same. I would worry that I was becoming colour blind after a day or two.

TheLightOfEarlyMorning · 04/03/2024 17:12

It definitely looks like it has a filter on - even the white are not proper whites. It would look so much better with fresh white walls.

Whether you like the colour scheme or not, I think the matching clothes are interesting. My friend does this. Her colour scheme for the house (not the same as this and not so matching between rooms) is the same as clothes that suits her family and she buys them (young). It has the effect that even clothes that are strewn around on the furniture match and look good. I sometimes wish I had the patience to do something similar!

Tortoise2go · 04/03/2024 18:22

I think is wonderful but I'm but I'm a self confessed beige /milky coffee decor lover. I even have pets that match my walls, floors and sofas I get palipations about bold colours and shiver jazzy pattened wallpaper in houses.

StiffyByngsDogBartholomew · 04/03/2024 18:35

the pictures have clearly been filtered to within an inch of their lives, all using the same one. There's a chronicles of narnia book that looks colourless in the pics which is much brighter in real life plus I've never seen beige lemons like those piled up in the pantry.

StiffyByngsDogBartholomew · 04/03/2024 18:40

And here are previous sale details
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/details/england-101341301-11766328?s=097ec2d743717130573e1f017c5eb26dace5d29360e7948e580565479cf63af5#/media?id=media2

shows the picture with the black sofa, was sold in 2021 abd obvs refurbished. I bet it's an air bnb

StiffyByngsDogBartholomew · 04/03/2024 18:43

God I'm good...
https://abnb.me/jtWrhiWlHHb

so nobody lives in it, it's staged pics for airbnb. The owners have a "lifestyle business" called the simple folk which appears to sell children's clothing of a similar style abd aesthetic

StiffyByngsDogBartholomew · 04/03/2024 18:51

and
it featured in Country Homes according to the blurb so it's probably those pictures

pensione · 04/03/2024 18:55

Wow what a waste of a house.

Hope they pay business rates or empty home premium council tax.

Because you dont like their decor?

hazandduck · 04/03/2024 19:15

I love it! I spied a gorgeous painting on one of the walls looks a bit like a Joan Eardley. I love the atmosphere of it all. I mean I could never maintain that especially if I moved in with my savage, wall-scribbling, Disney mad kids 😂 but one can dream!

Edited

Oh my god! They ruined such a lovely house! What a crime.
Also - I just don't get why the current people have those dirty brown rags everywhere, even on the beds?

pensione · 04/03/2024 19:56

TheLightOfEarlyMorning · 04/03/2024 19:00

Because you dont like their decor?

No, because the poster above me said no one lives in it, it’s used for pictures.

PinkCosYouAreSoVery · 04/03/2024 19:57

I reckon its been staged by an AI app.

123dogdog · 04/03/2024 22:41

It’s strange.

theres no telly, no microwave, no fridge or freezer and no kettle?! At least not that I can see.

also no plug sockets, well none that are obvious anyway.

bombastix · 05/03/2024 10:45

Wow they did ruin it; depressing. Previously looked like a high end Edwardian house. Now it looks like a hovel!

SerenityNowInsanityLater · 05/03/2024 10:50

It's probably been said loads already, but I declare this house Geri-Soon-To-Be-Ex-Horner Beige.

All of those logs! You could put a toilet under the stairs and make your own real logs! That would be much better use of the space.

SerenityNowInsanityLater · 05/03/2024 10:52

Oh just looked at the before photos. It was much more of a home. I don't like the update at all.
