Oddly, the last slide, with the photo of the extension/conservatory all lit up, seems to suggest a positively multi-coloured, 90s kitchen complete with black leather sofa. Is that from before, maybe??

I saw that too, with "normal" white walls and a cooker hood that isn't in other photos. I wonder if the house was styled for a magazine shoot at one point, none of the other properties from this agent have this style of photo. Makes me wonder what it actually looks like in real life!

Isn’t done in the Swedish style . I think it is called hygge

It's not hygge - not pleasant or cosy enough. It's probably clean, but it certainly doesn't look particularly pristine with those horrible walls and bed coverings.

I agree!

JJathome · 03/03/2024 17:28

Would love to see some of the posters homes on here who feel able to hurl abuse. Their homes must be fantastic. I’m sure some will post images.

NamechangedH · 03/03/2024 17:30

This makes me realise how trends swing back and to. I think we've reached peak neutral - all the sad beige interiors used to look so calming and refreshing. Now I want everything in my life that had previously been neutral to be colourful. I'm sick to death of 95% of cars being white, black or grey. The next car I buy is going to be yellow. And when I repaint the bathroom shortly, it's going to be bright!

emmylousings · 03/03/2024 17:38

Over the top on the neutrals, needs some colour. It's also all a bit cliched, done to such a degree, and I'm a fan of rustic minimalism.

Ladyof2024 · 03/03/2024 17:51

I love it. It's meant to look a bit cave-like and succeeds!

Zone2NorthLondon · 03/03/2024 15:49

never heard of woodlice.Just assumed domestic firewood or logs were treated , sprayed in someway so no beasties.

Nope.

You get the wood, you might get the beasties

And go in a garden or park, turn over some logs or branches and you'll see woodlice

Nanny0gg · 03/03/2024 18:01

I'd change the front door and bring in lots of calming colours (and get rid of the damp and the woodpile)

Then I'd love it

Tibssix · 03/03/2024 18:02

So bizarre!

Dustpantsandbush · 03/03/2024 18:03

It reminds me of the sad beige children catalogue lady on Tik tok looks like the set where tbe photos where taken

twiddlingthumbs69 · 03/03/2024 18:05

@LakieLady nowt wrong with Piers Morgan as long as you're 6 pints of Harvey's down! 😂. Are you referring to the bull for Sunday lunch? If so, it should be bloody nice the price they charge! 🤪

Wonderfulstuff · 03/03/2024 18:11

Sad beige kids with sad beige parents have to live somewhere.

mewkins · 03/03/2024 18:13

I'm creeper out that they all wear taupe boots and apparently sackcloth. It is very weird.

Ginmonkeyagain · 03/03/2024 18:14

@JJathome Happy for people to judge my home.or decor choices but I am not trying to get anyone to buy or rent it.

I live in a flat with out a private garden which according to many on here is beyond the pale anyway so 🤷‍♀️

I quite like it, I don’t think it particularly matches the exterior and I’m not a fan of the plaster look in the bedrooms, but a whole it’s quite a unique nice palette

YouOKHun · 03/03/2024 18:21

If I was in the market for renting a family sized house I’d run a mile from that because it’s not a practical home and I’d be worried about the level of preciousness from the LL. Once the spiders have emerged from that wood pile and the children have complain yet again that they don’t like the scarey lady in black in the squeaky rocking chair, I’d be ready to pack up, leave the Toast catalogue behind me and seek out something that doesn’t require me to wear hessian pants to blend in.

YouOKHun · 03/03/2024 18:24

@Nanny0gg yes, the front door is an abomination even though it doesn’t look like it’s uPVC it’s a typical style used for uPVC doors.

ChampagneLassie · 03/03/2024 18:42

It’s sort of weird that it’s to rent…you imagine many tenants struggling to keep it looking so artfully pristine. It seems pretty reasonable price wise though, I’ve got friends who rent a big house near by for £5k/ month and their house isn’t nearly so stylish (think magnolia everywhere and cheap fit out). It might not be your taste but it’s certainly stylish

SmudgeButt · 03/03/2024 18:47

ye gads - even the vegetables are pale.

No. I envision muddy footprints and stains on the upholstery. No place for my art studio either where I can splatter ink every where. And first thing OH would want to do is paint random walls purple.

Pigglyplaystruant99 · 03/03/2024 19:00

I absolutely love it. It has Swedish vibes. Is throw in a bit more colour, but I love neutral and linen shades.

Cesarina · 03/03/2024 19:10

Ginmonkeyagain · 03/03/2024 13:28

@Cesarina So stop getting all cats bum mouth on behalf of a business that has gone out of their way to choose this aesthetic.

I am sure they can cope with a little gentle ribbing of their obvious pretensions

@Ginmonkeyagain Ooh.....what's a "cats bum mouth"? And It's a long term let, not a holiday let. Why is taking the piss out of someone's decor so thrilling for you, hmm?

FH27 · 03/03/2024 19:43

Picture number 8 makes me think of that Van Gogh painting 'The Bedroom'
