I love the pantry.

Those dining chairs look like rare discontinued Ercol ones. I was not after those ones but others and I’m pretty sure those ones secondhand were selling for something like £800 each.

sandandsand · 03/03/2024 10:32

I mean, I don't like it, but it's no worse than that fake Chanel and grey crushed velvet monstrosity that posters were falling over themselves the other week to insist they loved.

vincettenoir · 03/03/2024 10:32

I don't hate it. Each room on its own looks good. But, yeah, that is a lot of beige in one house.

MyGooseisTotallyLoose · 03/03/2024 10:29

Oh yes, good.shout! Poss AI generated?

I was about to say it almost looked AI generated. That final shot isn’t the same kitchen, it shows an overhead extractor fan which isn’t in the interior shot.

Echobelly · 03/03/2024 10:33

It's too colourless for me but I can appreciate the 'natural' aesthetic which is about texture more than colours. I wouldn't want to live it in but I think it's actually rather nice and a fairly original look. Way better than everything being gray with LED spotlights and a shiny handle-less kitchen.

terriblyangryattimes · 03/03/2024 10:21

Where is the telly?!
After another look it does remind me of whe. You go to a 'living museum' where each house is set up from a period in time... It's the quaint wooden desk in the kids bedroom that's a bit sad

There is colour on the telly these days so not allowed.

PontiacFirebird · 03/03/2024 10:33

The walls are scumbled (is that the right word I just dredged it from my aging brain?) a la Changing Rooms in the 90s.
Also, it’s band G council tax which sounds expensive… I’m so common I didn’t even know band G existed!
😂

A lot of posters seem to be missing that this is an empty house up for rent. Highly staged with fake books and clothes etc. No telly.
No one actually lives like that.

It’s being rented fully furnished so that’s how they’re expecting the tenants to live.

GingerScallop · 03/03/2024 10:34

It's OK. Not for me. A bit of colour here and there wouldn't go amiss. Would relax me for a few days then Would be stressful. I would start feeling beige. And am black!

DrJoanAllenby · 03/03/2024 10:34

piealhxiprshl · 03/03/2024 10:17

I don't mind the colour scheme, I quite like neutrals, but hate the texture of the walls, looks like drying plaster, and the wood under the stairs is a weird look too.

My thoughts exactly.

SecondUsername4me · 03/03/2024 10:36

Looks stunning. It's a rental, so is obviously "dressed" like that for the photos rather than an actual family living like that.

PinkiOcelot · 03/03/2024 10:36

Bubbhye · 03/03/2024 10:16

It looks like a victorian work house that's been cleaned up.

It's awful.

This.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 03/03/2024 10:36

I love minimalism and neutrals and find them relaxing, but that is too much beige even for me! I think it's because the beige feels kind of sepia, meh and dreary. I like my neutrals a bit cooler and fresher and with a teensy bit more contrast in colour.

SecondUsername4me · 03/03/2024 10:36

Furnished yes. So furniture. Not shoes and coats.

It’s being rented fully furnished so that’s how they’re expecting the tenants to live.

I'm sure they'll be allowed to hang up their own coats and add their own books and bedding etc. Plug in a telly here and there maybe. 😂

DontWasteMyTime · 03/03/2024 10:37

God, it's so dull. What's with all the bits of logs under the stairs? That looks crap

borogovia · 03/03/2024 10:38

I don't think this is bland at all - limited palette, but there is plenty of texture and a sense of individual taste.

fingerdickenergy · 03/03/2024 10:41

I've never seen a property dressed up like this, for rental. I'm struggling to understand what their reasons are for dressing up the house in such a specific way, when as soon as it's let, the new tenants will bring their reds and yellows and pinks and greens and stamp personality all over it.

MistyGreenAndBlue · 03/03/2024 10:43

Well they have certainly picked a look and fully committed to it. 😂
Perhaps a bit TOO fully. I see where they were going, but it's a bit much.

Yes what’s that about? Looks green in one pic! Ewww! I’d have to paint it. 😆

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 03/03/2024 10:46

I wouldn’t call that ‘tasteful’ TBH. I’d think it belongs to someone with no idea and no originality, who's had an interior designer in.

Alwayswonderedwhy · 03/03/2024 10:49

Looks like it's been styled within an inch of it's life for the photos. Fine for a home magazine but not if you're trying to sell it. Doesn't look very inviting.

thefallen · 03/03/2024 10:51

I love it.

friskybivalves · 03/03/2024 10:51

All those logs = all those spiders.

EspressoMacchiato · 03/03/2024 10:52

It looks like a pot of porridge that’s been left on the hob all day.
