The owner might be on here.. what's with all the house bashing?
Get a life.

OneStripeySockAndOneSpottySock · 03/03/2024 11:39

I bet there's a couple of Orphans with wooden bowls and a 3 legged dog in the basement

CeeceeBloomingdale · 03/03/2024 11:41

I like aspects of it but the whole thing is too much of the same, I'd be screaming for colour.

Mamaraisedadoughut · 03/03/2024 11:41

I'd love it if tge venetian plastering didn't make it look like the walls were dirty.

I’ve just checked AirBNB, and yes it’s currently run as a posh bed and breakfast.

Run by these people. Hence the aesthetic.

Makes sense, I was thinking it looked like a posh catalogue backdrop or film set. Its very world of interiors magazine styled.

TitusMoan · 03/03/2024 10:18

It looks as if the residents aren’t allowed to wear colour either, if their boot room is anything to go by. Contrast that with the house in Prescot which was on here recently and which has been derided for being over decorated - that was a friendlier, more welcoming home than this.

Prescot in Merseyside? I didn't see that link.

determinedtomakethiswork · 03/03/2024 11:43

It's just been overly designed and clearly by someone who is never going to live in it. It shows you the problem with having an interior designer.

xSideshowAuntSallyx · 03/03/2024 11:44

I like it, not quite sure on the paintwork, but it's definitely been dressed for the photos. It reminds me of a French country/rustic house.

NewYearNewJob2024 · 03/03/2024 11:45

I don't dislike neutral...but really just don't like this style of decor at all! It could be such a beautiful home!

MissusKay · 03/03/2024 11:46

underthebun · 03/03/2024 10:57

it’s just contrived & insta styled

This. And it looks like it's been filled with AI objects. The jars and clothes just look so weird.

I think someone recently posted that their estate agent filed an empty flat using AI and the current tenant has styled it differently which was possible causing issues with viewings.

Shortpoet · 03/03/2024 11:46

Somewhere there is a cupboard that looks like this

When your house is just too too tasteful
OutOfTheHouse · 03/03/2024 11:48

Well I love it. But then life would be boring if we all liked the same thing.

Ilovemyshed · 03/03/2024 11:52

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 03/03/2024 11:15

Interesting back story here….why don’t they want to run the B&B anymore? Why is there a ‘first ever sale’ on the extraordinary mock Amish garments?

Who is ‘we’ ( plural ‘mothers’ in blurb)?

Did someone suddenly come home wearing a shocking pink t shirt and glitter earrings, precipitating a relationship crisis? And so business breakdown?

( or is it just all too contrived for most people to part with their dosh….)

Two friends who had kids with their separate partners then got together to create a business.

HomeIsHardToFind · 03/03/2024 11:54

As decor goes I wouldn't choose it but compared to some of the complete shit holes I've viewed recently it looks good!
It's clean (bonus!) tidy (bonus!) and you could just move it, sort your belongings out and relax.
I am always slightly uncomfortable when people post Rightmove links on here to criticise other people's property. I would be gutted if I clicked the link and it was my house being torn to shreds!

43ontherocksporfavor · 03/03/2024 11:54

Oh come on now! I love colour but that is hardly a horror show.😂

Oldraver · 03/03/2024 11:56

It looks very badly designed downstairs. It looks like to access the kitchen you have to go through the family room, why no direct access from the hall.

Which means if you want the loo you have a heck of a treck from from the kitchen

Ad surely a boot room should have direct access to outside not traipsing through the house ?

Ginmonkeyagain · 03/03/2024 11:57

Ahh come on now by posting it online for rent as a holiday home you are literally inviting comment and judgement.

I reckon they could offer it for filming Handmaids Tale

Did they get a job lot of old fashioned hessian potato sacks and run the up as blinds

12345mummy · 03/03/2024 12:01

I think Mother Earth and her family live here. I couldn’t sleep with all those logs under the stairs

AngelinaFibres · 03/03/2024 12:04

piealhxiprshl · 03/03/2024 10:17

I don't mind the colour scheme, I quite like neutrals, but hate the texture of the walls, looks like drying plaster, and the wood under the stairs is a weird look too.

The spiders in that understairs wood store thing would be absolutely bloody enormous

IcelandicBerry · 03/03/2024 12:04

I enjoyed that so much! Especially the rags hanging on the hooks and the too high children's cook shelves.

AngelinaFibres · 03/03/2024 12:07

OneStripeySockAndOneSpottySock · 03/03/2024 11:39

They are in the clothes catalogue for the company the home owners 2 run. 😂

twingiraffes · 03/03/2024 12:09

It is a beautiful period house, and considering what they could have done to it, this beigefest is actually quite a relief.

Desecratedcoconut · 03/03/2024 12:10

Right? I bet it's spider-maggedon come the autumn

fluffi · 03/03/2024 12:12

Personally don’t like it too brown, muted and earthy! Maybe for a “calming” room but not a whole house

I’d need some colour injected somewhere otherwise I’d feel sad and depleted of energy if I lived there!
