@countrygirl99 whereas our three independents will respond to you directly, including on social media. Everyone knows who they are and what they look like, and what they do.

-1054 with 4 councils still to declare

Just goes to show that the country has been almost entirely taken in by the left wing establishment city bankers wokerati tofu eating immigration lawyers blob.

Notonthestairs · 05/05/2023 21:07

Do you mean the anti growth coalition has taken hold? 😱

Notonthestairs · 05/05/2023 21:09

You forgot podcasting listeners that use taxis.

RafaistheKingofClay · 05/05/2023 21:13

They do seem to have been very successful in pissing off every single group you can think of. Shame they forgot they needed some of them to vote for them.

Lonelycrab · 05/05/2023 21:14

Yes this remoaner anti brexit socialist govt lead by Sunak isn’t carrying out the true democratic willy of the people and delivering our unicorns. So bring back boris🦄

Quite!!!

I think they've managed to spout such tosh for so long and remain in power they thought they could do it forever.

willy of the people?

Notonthestairs · 05/05/2023 21:18

Do not tell me Johnson is the willy of the people.

Well that’ll be the spin against Sunak after these results is all I’m saying.

And I’m referencing an old joke from here many moons ago. Not actually thinking about his actual penis.

Notonthestairs · 05/05/2023 21:39

I agree that a swathe of Cons will suggest bringing back Johnson. I have no doubt that's why the Times has an article (with zero new relevant information) complaining there was no 'smoking gun' proving Johnson lied. The Cruddas CDO conference next week will undoubtedly claim he should be brought back.

Maybe they are that daft.
I don't think bringing him back would be good for the country, I do think it would be excellent for Labour.

They supported Truss, so I think it is safe to say they are that daft.

I feel I should report this post for even referencing Johnson's, er, johnson.🤢

DuncinToffee · 05/05/2023 21:44

Last year's local elections under Johnson went so much better.....

I can't argue with that!🤣

IClaudine · 05/05/2023 21:51

I noticed Clav is on the election thread, scraping the bottom of the cut and paste barrel.

Where? Where?

Notonthestairs · 05/05/2023 21:56

"They supported Truss, so I think it is safe to say they are that daft."

I suspect that the same members that voted in Truss would vote her in again.

Sunak is left under fire from the opposition parties AND from his own party members who he can't satisfy because the sunlit uplands only exist in fairy tales.

itsgettingweird · 05/05/2023 22:15

Oh my word. I've just laughed so hard at this!

From Tory FB and shared by Braverman.

I guess they are talking to the few in the back row 🤣

RafaistheKingofClay · 05/05/2023 22:27

Whereas this is desperation. The more astute I’d you may notice that they didn’t actually win this council.

Blossomtoes · 05/05/2023 22:37

That’s not desperation, it’s denial. They’ve lost 1061 councillors now.
