Is ANYONE still buying Heinz baked beans?

Just a light-hearted post.

As title says, just wondered if there was anyone out to there still buying Heinz baked beans? We all know the price of cans is now extortionate, and everyone I know seemed to have switched brands.

Surely they can't be getting the sales anymore to keep going?! 🤯

I used to. Now Lidl or Also own brand

soleilblue · 01/03/2023 17:44

When the shelves have run out of own brand they are a good substitute if you're desperate

bellac11 · 01/03/2023 17:45

Its Branston for me

fruitandfibreg · 01/03/2023 17:45

I am 🙈 haven't even tried other brands. Can't be arsed with the disappointment

MissJam · 01/03/2023 17:45

If it were down to me - no, but DP won’t get any others. And he’s the one who eats them so I can’t really argue 😂

BooseysMom · 01/03/2023 17:45

I do but only when on offer. I prefer them to Aldi, etc

Roselilly36 · 01/03/2023 17:46

No way, I am boycotting all Heinz products, outrageously expensive. Aldi Ketchup is a great dupe, Aldi Corale beans are good too.

Sadless · 01/03/2023 17:46

No swapped to adlis beans the family soon got used to them. But my youngest loves heniz ravioli and that's £2 a Tin now.

Sal

Why are you boycotting?

AlwaysLatte · 01/03/2023 17:47

I use Aldi ones but my mum still insists on Heinz!

PotteringAlonggotkickedoutandhadtoreregister · 01/03/2023 17:47

Yes. And ketchup. The others are not a patch on them!

AuntieMarys · 01/03/2023 17:47

Yes. Only eat them about once a month

Kissedbyfire1 · 01/03/2023 17:48

Nope. Own brand or Branston. Heinz too watery. Haven’t bought them for years.

AliasGrape · 01/03/2023 17:49

Well yes, but we don’t eat them very often so I don’t think our 4 pack a year is what’s keeping them in business.

As a child I was hugely grossed out by beans, almost phobic, I didn’t actually eat them till in my 30s and although DD loves them I prefer to leave it for when she goes to grandma’s/ when DH is in charge. I actually quite like them on toast as long as they don’t touch or mingle with any other foodstuff, but I can only just about cope with Heinz. It makes no sense and is totally illogical - but I’d far easier just not bother buying them at all than change brands.

Pelom · 01/03/2023 17:49

They're the only brand of beans I like, so still buying them but a lot lot less frequently now with the price!

RedRiverShore3 · 01/03/2023 17:50

Yes, they were 2 packs of 6 for £9, should last a while though as we don't have them that much

MushMonster · 01/03/2023 17:50

Nope, other brands here.
All other extra expensive stuff is following suit.

Nootherwayout · 01/03/2023 17:52

Hell no, I gave up on them years ago when they went all watery.

cobblers123 · 01/03/2023 17:53

I like Branston but have been buying Aldi baked beans for quite a while now, I like them and they are a lot cheaper.

I don't like Heinz and they would be my last choice when shopping.

UnattendedPotato · 01/03/2023 17:54

Farm foods two 6packs for £8 that's up £2 on last year (when a 12 can slab was £6) but still cheapest I find.

BagpussSaggyOldClothCat · 01/03/2023 17:54

M&S baked beans are good for 50p

Onnabugeisha · 01/03/2023 17:55

Yes, the only beans my autistic DD will eat are the Heinz BBQ baked beans.
And I have to get veg into her somehow.

LadyWiddiothethird · 01/03/2023 17:55

Another vote for M and S,stopped buying Heinz years ago.

Jojoanna · 01/03/2023 17:57

Nope too expensive

Thisisnotahotel · 01/03/2023 17:58

Nope moved to Branston
