If you won the EuroMillions, what would be the first thing you'd actually go out and buy?

As per title, imagine you've somehow suddenly just come into a huge amount of money. What would be the first thing you'd go out and buy? Not talking about houses, cars etc. as all that will come with time. Also assuming that you are going to donate a healthy portion to charity and those you know who need it. I mean the first thing you're actually going to leave the house and spend money on for yourself?

I would go to the nearest nice department store and buy every permutation of the Chanel perfume products so all the soap, body creams, talc, sprays etc. and a big bottle of each eau de parfum. Would probably buy a nice bottle of champagne too but still be too scared to buy Cristal or the like!

I need to lose weight urgently so I'd get chef prepared calorie counted meals delivered daily and a personal trainer.

ToBeOrNotToBee · 08/02/2023 09:57

Seriously, it would be a house for me, myself and I (plus 2 dogs to live in).

It would need to have a big garden, 2-3 bedrooms and a luxury bathroom.

I could finally get out this god awful council flat.

PlaitBilledDuckyPuss · 08/02/2023 09:57

20 Benson & Hedges

Ragwort · 08/02/2023 09:58

Two weeks in a luxury spa ... on my own Grin.

Q2C4 · 08/02/2023 09:59

Diamonds and a mulberry handbag 🤩

Rainbowqueeen · 08/02/2023 09:59

The most expensive champagne my local bottle shop had available, a huge cheese platter and a massive bunch of flowers

isittheholidaysyet · 08/02/2023 10:00

Takeaway.
Probably involving crispy duck pancakes!

ChickenMaths · 08/02/2023 10:01

@Rainbowqueeen yes good about. Probably the best bottle in my nearest Waitrose. I don't even know what that would be as I don't look at that bit of the shelf 😂

First thing - if I'm home I'd order a takeaway from a local restaurant.

If out and about would go in a nice coffee shop have some cake and double espresso macchiato.

Hyperion100 · 08/02/2023 10:01

A Scrooge McDuck style money bin.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 08/02/2023 10:02

There's an academic text book I'd like purely because I'm interested in the subject. It's £120 and I can't justify spending that.
Lottery win would cover it though 😁.

WaddleAway · 08/02/2023 10:02

Good question. I don’t think there’s anything I particularly want, ‘stuff’ wise. All I want is a new house! I don’t think I’d rush out to buy anything in particular. Maybe a new tumble dryer as ours is broken!

JamSandle · 08/02/2023 10:02

A home so that would never be a worry!

I'd then take driving lessons. And take my dad for a treat or holiday.

UnleashMyPicasso · 08/02/2023 10:03

Probably a holiday would be my first choice

TooBigForMyBoots · 08/02/2023 10:03

A bottle of Pinot Noir from the expensive shelf in the off licence.

Me too!! Then a professional interior designer for the house and a stylist for all the new clothes I will need to buy once I've lost all the weight Grin

PuttingDownRoots · 08/02/2023 10:04

One of the ridiculously large lego sets and have it sent to my mother.

Shes always said she would buy me the hogwarts castle if she won big so I'd return the favour!

TokyoSushi · 08/02/2023 10:04

I'd go out for a really really nice dinner and then likely have a mini shopping spree on clothes, make up, shoes etc.

Next on my list would be an amazing holiday to think about what to do! Somewhere like the Maldives so I could just do nothing but think & plan!

BarrelOfOtters · 08/02/2023 10:04

Bottle of champagne, really nice dinner. And then I'd book a holiday - 3 weeks in Japan.

Oh, and I need a new car, mine leaks.

stbrandonsboat · 08/02/2023 10:05

Some nice food

Butwhytho · 08/02/2023 10:05

A new wardrobe. So boring but ours is old and shit and I broke the door the other day! All our other furniture is lovely, a mix of traditional old pieces that suit our home, but that BLOODY WARDROBE. I hate it 😂

I think I’m going to buy one now haha

TrollMunter · 08/02/2023 10:05

I’d book the most expensive pt I could find. And then a laptop for all my plotting!

BarrelOfOtters · 08/02/2023 10:05

And there's a chapel come up for sale near me, ripe for conversion, in a gorgeous valley. I'd buy that.

Fridaysgirl17 · 08/02/2023 10:06

Everything on my Amazon wish lists 🤣🥳

TheYearOfSmallThings · 08/02/2023 10:07

If you really won't let me go straight out and buy a bigger house, then I would walk through Liberty and John Lewis just buying anything I liked the look of.

I am always so careful and restrained in what I buy. Do I really want this? Is this the best price? How much use will I really get from this? Do we have space at home? So dull. I would like to be free of all that carefulness.
