The bulb went in the oven a few weeks ago and keep forgetting to order a new one. I forgot to turn it off last night when I finished using it, walked into the hall kitchen this morning and it was like when you step out of the airport on holiday. Guess how much this cost me?

Looking at these I'll be way off but... 2 kW ph x 35p per kWh = 70p per hour . Say 12 hours = £8

Would be a lot more at 230 degrees than 150 obvs.

Mainly here to find out though. Hope you can enjoy your lovely toasty house and not just weep at the cost!

ApolloandDaphne · 21/01/2023 11:32

Probably very little. My cooking costs take up a tiny fraction of my fuel costs and I use my oven a lot. £3 or £4 maybe?

Tessisme · 21/01/2023 11:32

No figure, large or small, would shock me. You see it all on Mumsnet😅

Herja · 21/01/2023 11:32

If it's £5 to cook Sunday lunch according to the media I would say £50

Spudlet · 21/01/2023 11:35

I’m going with around £10.

Penguinsista · 21/01/2023 11:37
