Morning all.

Loving the sound of your plans @ThunderclapCloud. Enjoy it all!

Your chutney sounds delicious @petalpower.

So the carpet and furniture cleaning man cancelled yesterday as he had food poisoning apparently. I saw him post on an ad on a local FB page yesterday evening so he seemed a bit recovered. But hasn’t contacted me to attempt to rearrange. Hmm Will give him a day or so and if I don’t hear from him I’ll use someone else.

So instead of dealing with that yesterday I gave the kitchen a clean and tidy and then tackled two cupboards in the hall. Cleared out some shoes. Tidied both cupboards and washed a coat. Then cleared through a large bag of wrapping paper and gift bags that I’ve had for years. Since DS liked Bob the Builder apparently as I had Bob the Builder wrapping paper!

Today is a bitty day.

  • washing - on
  • Hydra facial at 10 - will take bags of clothes for charity to boxes in car park
  • first personal trainer session at 1 (yikes)
  • start my packing for going away on Friday
  • sort charity shop things to be delivered tomorrow

I’m sure there will be more!

have a great day all.

@petalpower I've negotiated to just do a couple of shifts as I'm owed some time off anyway, so officially free from Friday. There are always eager young things starting (high turnover) and so once staff express an interest in moving on it seems to be actively encouraged. It's an odd industry in that respect, but I am quite pleased that it works like this.

I'm not sure if i have retired, but certainly retired-for-now. I've spent a bit more time with my family lately and thoroughly enjoyed that.

Thank you for the support, folks!

@Peridot1 enjoy your first personal training session. I've had a session this morning and it always sets me up for the day.
Today:

  • 5 min bursts to tidy my bedroom up. It will take lots of them but I have done a couple already today
  • done an online shop - all the cupboards are bare for collection tomorrow
  • need to find a birthday present for a friend - not a very straight forward task
  • need to carry on sanding an old stool - I can't take it apart so it'll be a mix of hand sanding and machine, I think.
  • just done my last presentation of the day so will get to some of the above 😃
  • the joiner was due back today to do some small bits - he is a no show thus far.
That's all for now, have a good day all, SoE
