If you were naming children tomorrow, what names would you pick?

Following in from my “how quickly do names come back into fashion”, I thought it would be fun to say what names we would pick, together with our own age, as our own age and peers will have influenced choices.

I am in my fifties. If I was naming babies tomorrow, my girls would be Lydia and Penelope (Penny), and my boys would be Paul and Finn.

I’m in my forties. Mine would be Anna Rose (Annie) and Bertram (Bertie).

I’m in my 30s. I’d pick Rosalind Joy or Fraser Glen

I would have an Aubrey and Abigail - boys would be Laurence and Liam

Im all out of boys names after using the only 4 boys names I like on my 2.

30s.

Noor and Samir.

Currently pregnant (though hopefully not having to name them tomorrow!) so not quite a theoretical decision.

In my 40s
Stella and Dylan

I'm 54.
Honor, Gabriel, Annarose and Kit.

Late 20’s and I love the name Sofia for a girl and Oscar or Theo for a boy

I'm 40. It would be Beth and Toby for me.

Boys: Alexander and William possibly Zachary
Girls: Virginia (Ginny) and Elizabeth ( Beth)

@Newbootstoday also love the name Stella! Someone I follow on TikTok recently named their daughter Stella and I think it’s lovely

Nancy and Edwin. I'm in my 40s.

Early 40s, I would pick Tabitha orJasper.

Dianella and Marcus.

Mid 30s

I would go with Hebe and Adaline for girls and Barnaby and Rufus for boys

Romily, Cecily, Clementine, Hugo, Freddie.
IRL I have 5DD's and I'm in my late 60's.

I'm mid 40s. I'd go for Imogen Fay and Samuel Bernard. The middle names are after grandparents as my actual DC have the other grandparents names as their middle names, so I'd honour the other two the same way.

Violet and Wolf/Wolfie.

Oh forgot to say I am late forties.
