If you were naming children tomorrow, what names would you pick?

Following in from my “how quickly do names come back into fashion”, I thought it would be fun to say what names we would pick, together with our own age, as our own age and peers will have influenced choices.

I am in my fifties. If I was naming babies tomorrow, my girls would be Lydia and Penelope (Penny), and my boys would be Paul and Finn.

They are a mixture of Irish, Welsh and Scots Gaelic names, one or two with incorrect dubious spellings.

Early 30s.

Girls - Annie, Penelope or Edie

Boys - Freddie or Lennon

It changes all the time. Probably Helen or James right now.

Boy - Miller
Girl - Gabriella

Sonny
Roman
Tudor
Cree (yes, I know Cree'd' has become a chav name, but I've always loved this name, forever in fact)
I have only 2 boys so they would share the names.

Late 50s btw

Aurelia or Tabitha for a girl
Never thought for a boy.

River bodhi or Remy ocean.

My actually ds has a fairly standard name 😂

Fredericka. My favourite of all of my daughters’ names- I still absolutely love it!

I’m 30! I have a 11 year old called Penelope and a 9 year old called Florence and a 1 year old called Harriet.

If I had another girl I think it would be Clarice.
