If I tell you some podcasts I've liked, could anyone recommend more that are similar please?

I love podcasts but only of a certain genre. The criteria is:

  • a true story
  • that builds over the episodes rather than one story each episode
  • not too grisly
  • and that preferably reaches a conclusion (have listened to a few mystery type ones recently that are just frustrating because there's just endless speculation and no answers)

Some I have really liked are:

  • last man standing
  • I am not a monster
  • the fake heiress
  • the dropout
  • dr death
  • flight 149
  • Tiffany Dover is dead
  • wind of change.

Does anyone have any suggestions that fit the above please?

Just listened to I am not Nicholas on Audible.

“I am not Nicholas Rossi!” gasps Arthur Knight through an oxygen mask in March 2022. Recently discharged from a Covid ward in Glasgow, he's in a wheelchair. The police say he’s Nicholas Rossi, suspected of faking his death and wanted for rape in Utah. The story makes headlines globally. When journalist Jane MacSorley meets Arthur Knight and his wife Miranda, she thinks the police have made a mistake. She embarks on a yearlong investigation, making a unique discovery which changes everything.

Something Was Wrong

There's about 8 seasons and they all tell women's true life stories of relationships/friendships where 'something was wrong'. There's some really gripping stories.

Just reupping me thread because I have just listened to an outstanding podcast that I wanted to share. It's called Admissible: shreds of evidence. An amazing podcast that starts out being about one thing (a lab worker who saved dna evidence exonerating several men years later) and ends up being about something else as they discover a massive cover up along the way. It's brilliant.

Tortoise Media does some excellent podcast series just like you're describing.

  • Into The Dirt is really good (I've not finished it yet)
  • The Tavistock I found very balanced although I'm sure being on MN you'll have heard a lot.

There were some other series that I'll be listening to when I finish Into the Dirt but they're the ones I've listened to.

You may also like CSI on trial. It debunks a lot of methods that we take for granted.

also listened to the King Road Killings recently about the Idaho student murders.

both really good especially the king road killings.
