Just re-listening to Cabin Pressure with 10 yr old DS, who has got really into it, and whenever the theme starts comes up and says "the lemon is in play"!

I'm feeling a bit shit today so was wondering what everyone's favourite episodes are, mine are .....

The one with the orchestra
St Petersburg.... in fact anyone where they get it over on Gordon
Berling Day
The one where they pick up Theresa of Lichtenstein for the first time

But they are all bloody great really aren't they??

Challenge accepted @TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross .
Betting for the cheese tray:
Passenger derby
strudel or cheesecake
holding breath
male or female ATC

Beat the manual (not sure if that counts)
Flight deck buckaroo is referred to - Martin says he hates it - but not played

CaveMum · 28/07/2022 11:13

Don't forget "People whose names sound like villains"

Tag Heuer!

CaveMum · 28/07/2022 11:14

Omg yes I definitely plan to play "one sound"
And also definitely "enemies"...
Wondering if I can hide a lemon in plain sight in an MPV 😂...

Went for a walk today and saw 4 yellow cars.
The first two were parked next to each other.
I think that the fourth one might have been the same as one of the two parked next to each other, but I think it was paler.

4 yellow cars within the space of 90 minutes!

cakeorwine · 11/09/2022 19:26

A few weeks ago we had 2 pilots arguing and fighting in the flight deck over their lax approach to safety procedures

AND

A bird strike with the Red Arrows.

Both made me think of MJN

KingscoteStaff · 11/09/2022 19:40

We said 'yellow car' in low and reverent voices as the Queen's cortege passed any today. Quite a few in the Dundee area.

I'll beat that! Also today - driving, and spotted 4 in fifteen minutes.

I think they are more prevalent these days. I play it with my sons (whoever spots first gets a high five). On some motorway journeys we are constantly high fiveing

ILoveShula · 11/09/2022 20:17

I was on foot and a lot of it was in pedestrianised areas, so I think I did well.
I'm not in Dundee, but my walk was in some way related to the recent death of a monarch.

Cherrypi · 11/09/2022 21:20

Definitely need to repeat this from the beginning on the radio to get us through this winter.

CountessOfSponheim · 12/09/2022 08:01

The "Hey chief, I might be wrong, but it looks like we're flying into a mountain..." communication technique from 'Ipswich' is surprisingly useful for potential marital arguments... not necessarily in its own right but if you address your spouse as "Hey Cap" or "Hey Chief" and do your best Douglas impression it's hard to get back to simmering resentment.

I have more of a "only Father Christmas cares about what you want" and "tell you what why don't you write it down, put it in an envelope, tear it in half, throw it away and shut your face" marriage Grin

Just had a baby today. Thought you'd all be proud to know that I managed to call 'yellow car' half way through a contraction, 5 minutes out from the hospital. (Baby born about 20 minutes after we got there...)
My husband awarded me extra points.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 08/10/2022 21:42

That...is...BRILLIANT.

Congratulations on your baby. Get DH to bring you a Toblerone.

EmmaH2022 · 08/10/2022 21:44

Not sure which episode had "surprising rice" but I still crease up at that. 😂

Thank you all! I've found my people...

Sorry to report that our little girl won't be called Herc, though now regretting not sticking Gertie in the mix...
