Boris has been fined - Tory voters, should he go?

Both Johnson and Sunak have received fines for the lockdown parties. No further details as yet.

Do any Conservative voters here think Boris should resign?

@hedgehogger1

The man is fucking Teflon coated. He's done so much crap now and nothing sticks
I don't agree. I think MP's are waiting. I think ABBA night will polish him off.

Interesting that Patel has held off from tweeting support because there is an ongoing police investigation. I agree with her which is a first for me.

'Nah i like Janiie's posts they show how blind their support for the Tory party is'

Happily support the Labour Party but they need credible, convincing folk on the front bench. Keith plus Angie are not that.

Yes, Boris and Rishi need to resign.

My DS had a dismal first year at Uni due to the lockdowns and restrictions.

The campus security wouldn't even let all 8 of his flat go for a walk in the grounds together in the complete lockdown periods, despite them all having proof of "living together", i.e. their key fobs showing flat number.

When restrictions were eased and there was the "rule of 6", the campus cafes/restaurants/bars wouldn't let their flat of 8 have a drink or meal together, again, despite them having proof, i.e. their key fobs of living together "as a household".

That's not to mention virtually no Uni teaching/admin staff on campus for the entire academic year - the whole place was like some zombie apocalypse, all that was missing was tumbleweed down the main thoroughfares.

If they can force students to suffer such a miserable experience, then the sodding cabinet can abide by their own rules, and if they can't, they need to resign.

ha ha you mean once Boris, Raab and Patel deflect to Labour, you will back them... until then, they are "unconvincing"

Sorry but your last sentence is about convincing as BJ's "No one told me it wasn't a party"

His name is Keir. Wrong spelling from you.

I wish you would stop the 9 minutes unless it can be proved. I bet there are some there who would beg to differ. 9 minutes or 30, as some say, it's irrelevant.
He broke the law. He lied to Parliament. And you can go on and on and on about how stupid the Met was, how laughable it all is but it does not take away from the fact he has a FPN and he lied.

(I cannot listen to posters saying he thought it was OK so he didn't lie. The general public knew. He's a liar but he's a manipulative one, he is not thick)

NETSRIK · 13/04/2022 14:59

It's gone!

NETSRIK · 13/04/2022 15:00

Claudine's post not Boris that is!

Alexandra2001 · 13/04/2022 15:00

@user1497207191 Good point, my DD was pretty much locked up for the pandemic & was zero F2F teaching :(

Now Sunak has the gall to charge her more for working in the NHS and for later cohorts, make them pay back £200 over 5 years for money they never received.

So much for dealing with the NHS back log and staff shortages, more lies from the Tory ans to the Chuckle Brothers.

Franklin12 · 13/04/2022 15:40

My DS was in his first year of uni. The lecturers were a disgrace. Made a run for it and were very difficult to get hold of even though they were being paid their full salaries during lockdown.

That isnt on the government.

He is. Everyone knows really that he attended heaps of parties. He is just wriggling as usual. I suppose it depends now on whether the police have the courage to fine for the rest.

Waterloo, finally facing his Waterloo....

elitecomplainer · 13/04/2022 15:52

Desperately trying to get the UK involved in a war before the ABBA party details and fines are published.

'fraid it is, they regulate the Uni sector and allowed it to behave like this, ok i get it for the first LD but subsequently?

The Govt don't care.

She was a disgrace - even for her.

Piggywaspushed · 13/04/2022 16:51

Why do people insist on calling Keir Starmer Keith? It's so sneering.

Also, my dad is called Keith so it double annoys me. Nothing wrong with my highly intelligent father.

Roussette · 13/04/2022 16:53

They think it's funny. No idea why. It's not.

It’s done on purpose to be sneering.

And yes Edwina hit a new low with that tweet. They really don’t seem to be able to help themselves.

Cornettoninja · 13/04/2022 17:12

And now appears to be frantically calling everyone ‘Russian bots’. I don’t think we need their involvement in destabilisation with Boris at the helm.
