WTF just came out of my arse??!!

NOT A POO TROLL!!

Been for a poo, and basically a bit of poo was hanging on something that looked like dental floss. I pulled the rest out EnvyConfused and it was about 25-30cm in length! The consistency of stretchy, stringy dental floss.

Any suggestions? It didn't look segmented so I'm hoping it's not a tapeworm!

Mucus?

MrsPnut · 25/02/2022 10:58

Piece of bowel lining?

I've passed some before but I do have ulcerative colitis.

mumof1or2 · 25/02/2022 10:59

Do you have long hair? Could it be that you've swallowed some of your hair? Mine often gets in my face while I'm eating.

Hotcuppatea · 25/02/2022 10:59

Tapeworm?

CeleriacOfTheNight · 25/02/2022 11:00

Have you had any bean sprouts recently?

OutsideVoice · 25/02/2022 11:00

A worm.

Brefugee · 25/02/2022 11:23

sounds like a worm

HalfwomanHalfcookie · 25/02/2022 11:24

I once accidentally swallowed some chewing gum and it came out like that.

Tellmeitsnotnotatapeworm · 25/02/2022 11:34

Not hair, not bean sprouts ... not what I would expect mucus to be like but having never explored my intestines, who knows!

I did find a picture of a rope worm which was the closest to what it was, but very very thin - dental floss is the only description I keep coming back to Blush

It's making me feel queasy now ...

Do I need to do anything about it?

purplesequins · 25/02/2022 11:36

bananas? they can come out stringy.

EenieWeenie · 25/02/2022 11:36

Go to a chemist and speak to the pharmacist. They can help, we are just guessing
Hope it gets sorted

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 25/02/2022 11:37

I think you need to keep it and go to the docs with it🤢

tulips27 · 25/02/2022 11:38

Just a guess but it sounds like you need to be tested for worms.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 25/02/2022 11:38

Photo?🤕

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 25/02/2022 11:39

🤢

Crumbs22 · 25/02/2022 11:39

Sounds like a worm. You can ask what to do at the pharmacy or a nurse at your GP practise, depends which is quicker to get hold of. They'll ask if you've travelled abroad somewhere or eaten something undercooked etc to try to decide which type of worm. I imagine you'd need to take a dose of tablets as treatment.

Crumbs22 · 25/02/2022 11:40

Oh and others you live with may have to be treated as well .... really hope it's not a worm.

Hotpinkangel19 · 25/02/2022 11:44

Have you travelled anywhere lately?

teraculum29 · 25/02/2022 11:45

just in case go to chemist and buy deworming tablets.

LondonQueen · 25/02/2022 11:47

Sounds like a worm to me.

viques · 25/02/2022 11:50

@HalfwomanHalfcookie

I once accidentally swallowed some chewing gum and it came out like that.
I always swallow my gum and have never noticed it turning into a poo worm.
BrownJenkins · 25/02/2022 12:04

Sounds like a thread worm.

Tellmeitsnotnotatapeworm · 25/02/2022 12:09

But when you say you've got worms, doesn't that generally mean threadworms? This was 10-12 INCHES.

I will see a pharmacist and show them the photo. Grin
