NOT A POO TROLL!!

Been for a poo, and basically a bit of poo was hanging on something that looked like dental floss. I pulled the rest out and it was about 25-30cm in length! The consistency of stretchy, stringy dental floss.

Any suggestions? It didn't look segmented so I'm hoping it's not a tapeworm!

Tape worms aren't tiny, they can grow to something ridiculous like 30ft long.

OP, I had this a few years ago (including having to pull the rest out). It felt and looked like dental floss.

At the time, I couldn't find any pictures online that best matched it (so didn't think it was a worm or other parasite) and because of that, didn't quite know what to do about it. It hasn't happened since, the memory faded until today/his thread.

Most bizarre. If you do ever find out what it is, please update!

Not helpful, but reminds me of my old ddog when he ate grass and he'd have a poo dangling from his arse attached to a stringy bit of greenage that I'd have to pull out (using a poo bag of course) 🤮🤮🤮

I initially thought tape worm have you recently lost a lot of weight op? as tape worms eat the food in the gut before your body digests it so it causes weight loss apparently.

just saw your pic and it doesn't look like a tape worm it looks to me like some sort of greenery.

Thanks for the picture OP, it looks like veg matter to me tbh, but if you are worried get a poo sample off to your GP for looking at down a microscope.

No judgment but did you know chewing gum is pure plastic? Some people think it's from a rubber plant or something which seems more edible!
