What's the best peanut butter?

After years of buying bog standard supermarket cheapest peanut butter, I bought some Meridian last week and wow it is soooo good. It's accidentally picked up almond butter, so then bought chunky peanut butter. Can't believe I've been missing out on this stuff.

What's the best peanut butter, what shall I try next?

Manilife deep roast Smile

I love Skippy but I won't let myself buy it any more.
Must try some of the other ones recommended.

Another vote for morissons own brand 100% peanut butter. A lovely roasted taste, it's my favourite snack straight out if the jar with a spoon.

This is off the scale amazing! Shame the picture makes it look like cat sick/potted meat.. but honestly… it’s exquisite !

Pip and nut fan here

thingymaboob · 30/01/2022 20:49

@rrhuth

I think Meridian is the best.
Absolutely agree. Love it
Thighdentitycrisis · 30/01/2022 20:49

Lidl - pure peanuts, nothing added nothing taken away

HollowTalk · 30/01/2022 20:50

@coffeeschmoffee

I like Whole Earth Organic Crunchy The organic one is muuuuch nicer than the standard one
I stopped getting this. Haven't they added palm oil to it? I got Meridian now.
Thighdentitycrisis · 30/01/2022 20:50

Meridian if I can’t get to Lidl but twice as expensive

crispinglovershighkick · 30/01/2022 20:51

Proper Nutty is palm oil free and amazingly delicious, just as well it comes in giant tins. I used to like the occasional pb sandwich but now I eat it on everything.

YeahThankYou · 30/01/2022 20:51

That M&S one with Maple & Pecan looks almost too good to be true.

Going to try Manilife.

Right now we eat Biona Crunchy and it’s ok but not the best.

Whatwouldscullydo · 30/01/2022 20:53

Skippy extra crunchy

MotherWol · 30/01/2022 20:59

KP smooth is nice for that Skippy-like creamy texture but without the palm oil (it uses cocoa butter to emulsify instead), otherwise I like the M&S and Lidl palm oil free ones.

Pokkadots · 30/01/2022 21:21

Marks and Spencer the one with just peanuts and no other ingredients.

Rno3gfr · 30/01/2022 21:33

I love Tesco’s own brand crunchy peanut butter

Quornflakegirl · 30/01/2022 21:37

Yumello has 3 ingredients and uses coconut oil. The salted date peanut butter is the best I’ve ever had.

Chrispackhamspoodle · 30/01/2022 21:54

Another Pip and Nut fan here.No palm oil,no sugar and a good price for a huge tub .It's also delicious

LittleSnakes · 30/01/2022 21:56

Whole Earth crunchy

Hugoslavia · 30/01/2022 21:57

Manilife Dark Roast Peanut Butter. Once you have had it, there is no going back!!! My god, nothing else compares.

Hugoslavia · 30/01/2022 21:58

The M&S maple and pecan one isn't great. It just tastes very sugary and sweet.

Sockpile · 30/01/2022 22:00

Proper Nutty is really lovely and meridian as already mentioned. As long as it only contains peanuts and salt it’s usually good.
I used to buy whole earth until I saw it had palm oil in it.

SusannaQueen · 30/01/2022 22:01

Tesco used to make one that was 100% peanuts, no sugar or added oil, which was great for the price. Haven't seen it for ages.

Rollypolly12345 · 30/01/2022 22:01

Manilife!!!!!

LakeFlyPie · 30/01/2022 22:07

I've tried loads and reckon Aldi's is the best. 100% peanuts. Crunchy and smooth both great (and their almond and cashew butters are amazing too)
