What's the best peanut butter?

After years of buying bog standard supermarket cheapest peanut butter, I bought some Meridian last week and wow it is soooo good. It's accidentally picked up almond butter, so then bought chunky peanut butter. Can't believe I've been missing out on this stuff.

What's the best peanut butter, what shall I try next?

Sunpat smooth sugar free, I think I have cheap peanut butter tastes. I'm gutted DC is allergic and we can't have it in the house

CallMeK · 30/01/2022 20:01

The big tubs of Skippy from Costco!

@mswales

ManiLife deep roast, total game changer
Yes!! Peanut butter of the gods. Has to be all peanuts with no sugar, palm oil etc. Pic's (Australian make) also delicious. As a Scot I found a brand called "Jobby" hilarious but there's no way I could eat it!

I used to get Meridian that was 100% peanuts, but found the oil separated, and you end up with a hard lump of peanut with a load of oil on top that are nearly impossible to mix back together. Now have Whole Earth which is 97% peanuts, sustainable palm oil and salt. Lovely, and no separation.

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 30/01/2022 20:08

Taste Joy. It's a local artisan peanut butter from Northern Ireland and it's the food of the gods!! I honestly hide my jar and don't share, the rest of them can have Sunpat Grin

Namechangeforthis88 · 30/01/2022 20:08

Meridian, or even better Manilife deep roast - it's the nuts!

The Tapanuli orangutan was only discovered 4 years ago. It's already critically endangered, as are the Bornean and Sumatran. Palm oil is the driving force behind orangutan extinction

PPB powdered peanut butter.
Its so good and you can make it how you like it.

Morrisons 100% peanut peanut butter. Nicer than the fancy brands I think. No salt, sugar or palm oil and cheaper than branded stuff.

GeneGenie123 · 30/01/2022 20:13

Definitely the Aldi one and no palm oil so a total bonus for me.

kayakingmum · 30/01/2022 20:14

Meridian for me.

After a few servings I store the jar upside down for the rest of the time so it doesn't separate (one of the very few life-hacks I have got from Facebook).

theshadeofgreen · 30/01/2022 20:16

Whole earth, in the massive tubs unless you want to buy a new jar every 3 days....

Chopped up apple and a huge dollop of that is THE BEST.

NalPolishRemover · 30/01/2022 20:17

Aldi! It's delicious & no palm oil- win win

NoLongerTroels · 30/01/2022 20:18

Skippy in massive jars from Costco. Everything else is rubbish, or gritty, or tasteless.

Kat70 · 30/01/2022 20:19

Proper Nutty. It comes in tins- like a paint tin! It's divine.

maffhew · 30/01/2022 20:21

Aldi has changed their premium one recently and all I could taste was the oil.

marieantoinehairnet · 30/01/2022 20:21

Another Whole Earth organic crunchy fan here

Daenerys77 · 30/01/2022 20:22

Yumello. Especially the salted date version!

Useranon1 · 30/01/2022 20:23

Kellogg brought out a new crunchy nut peanut butter, it's immense!

Try this with cinnamon sprinkled over it
AlexaShutUp · 30/01/2022 20:26

We like the meridian one in our house. Their peanut butter is lovely but their almond butter is even better. And the cashew nut butter is divine.

I keep seeing adverts for pip'n'nut. Is it sweetened?

TheVolturi · 30/01/2022 20:29

Whole Earth smooth

waltzingparrot · 30/01/2022 20:30

Marmite crunchy peanut butter. King of kings.

What's the best peanut butter?
Caspianberg · 30/01/2022 20:31

I used to make my own. Literally peanuts in the nutribullet. That’s it. As it blends it creates own natural oils.

Ds is highly allergic to peanuts, so now none in the house unfortunately

EllaMinnowPee · 30/01/2022 20:31

M&S smooth peanut butter. £1.40 a tub and almost identical to Skippy
