Who HASN'T had Covid?

I haven't. I've been in work (out of home) since June 2nd 2020 and I work with 2-4 year olds, mostly covered in bodily fluids. Nearly everyone I know has had it, including 2 of my children. Dh, DS1 and I have not had it. I feel like it's a waiting game now.

I know lots who have had it including 3 of my close friends and their families and also the two colleagues I work most closely with. But also know lots who haven't.

I have been diagnosed with something which is caused by a reaction to a virus. I don't know which virus but I had no other symptoms apart from this unusual post viral thing. So it may have been covid. Seems most likely.

I don't believe I have. Work in childcare and LFT test regularly. I took part in a antibody research study back in the summer and I had no anti bodies then.

We've had Covid in the house twice, both children had it individually, and DH and I seemed to have avoided it both times

Me nor any of my family have had it.

Me. DH and DC all had it twice. I seem immune. I've been in contact with it so many times. Neither vaccine had any effect either, though the rest of the family felt quite ill from them.

Me (hospital worker) DH (teacher) and school age kids. Regular testing done too so not symptomless infection.

AnotherMansCause · 11/11/2021 08:12

AFAIK neither DH, DD or I have had it. DH & I got jabbed as soon as it was available, DD is too young to be eligible so far.

However I seem to have been suffering with a post viral thing since spring. Very tired, napping a lot which is most unlike me. Sometimes needing an extra 4 hour nap on top of a full nights sleep. Slowly getting better but I keep thinking I’m over it & then having a relapse. 2 sets of blood tests showed absolutely nothing.

@garlictwist

Statistically the majority of people haven't had it.

I was chatting to my neighbour yesterday. He has just come out of hospital after eight days on oxygen with it. He is double jabbed and it just makes me think that my turn must be just round the corner as clearly the vaccines are pointless.

If your neighbour hadn't been jabbed he might not have come out of hospital so I wouldn't say the jab is pointless. I was glad my mum was vaccinated before she caught covid.

Me - hospital worker, working in wards with active COVID cases between March 2020 and July 2021. Antibody test in August 2020, negative. When it hit the ward hard in November last year I was the only member of my team not to test positive. Partner travels all over the place, working in various different departments, never had it, three children, one scare, but PCRs were negative. DD living in Wales, working in a pub, was symptomatic and tested positive the first week mandatory mask wearing was relaxed.

My son was on the vaccine trial. He got covid after his second jab - very light symptoms. Neither me or my other two or dh have had it. I have been on the Zoe app since the start and have had a few tests but never a positive result. I have also had two antibody tests. One showed antibodies from the vaccine. The other no antibodies from actual covid so I definitely haven't had it. Dh also had no covid antibodies. We are all double jabbed and I have also had the booster.

I haven't despite working on a Covid ward for a year and currently my teenage DD has it and I'm isolating with her. I keep thinking surely it's in the post...

Startrooper · 11/11/2021 08:55

None of our household of 3. Only know 4 people who’ve had Covid. DC’s Primary school has never had to shut a bubble etc (we’re not in a low infection area either).

I’ve not had any cold-type symptoms since Jan 2020 either. DC has a few times but the PCR is always negative.
