Who HASN'T had Covid?

I haven't. I've been in work (out of home) since June 2nd 2020 and I work with 2-4 year olds, mostly covered in bodily fluids. Nearly everyone I know has had it, including 2 of my children. Dh, DS1 and I have not had it. I feel like it's a waiting game now.

We have not. DH is CEV and in the group where the vaccines are not effective. We have been WFH and stay home almost all the time. We haven’t been in a restaurant or to any events. We get almost everything delivered. Our very limited in-person social circle only includes fully vaccinated people who are being relatively safe, though not necessarily quite as severely as us.

Dd spent a year homeschooled and then was able to be vaccinated and return to a school where students where masks.

It was easier before things opened back up and went back to “normal” because DH had a bit more freedom.

I just keep hoping we don’t catch it, because if we do, he probably won’t survive.

AnEpisodeOfEastenders · 10/11/2021 17:08

None of my household and only know a handful who have had positive tests.

Groovee · 10/11/2021 17:08

None of my house hold nor my mum or in-laws.

I work with 3-5 year olds. A colleague had it when we returned after the summer.

My husband and I haven't had Covid. Nor have my parents. I haven't even had any sort of test, but I have had the two jabs plus 'flu jab. I have shopped in store twice a week, met at least one friend every week, been on half a dozen mini breaks and one UK holiday.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 10/11/2021 17:11

I've had it but I know lots who haven't, none of my friendship group has had it.

Oblomov21 · 10/11/2021 17:11

Me, and our family of 4. No one I know closely has.

Polkadotties · 10/11/2021 17:12

Not me, even though my OH had it and we couldn’t really live separately.

Redcrayons · 10/11/2021 17:13

As far as I know I haven’t. I’ve never had any symptoms other than a cold a few weeks ago.

I started self testing with the LFTs around September last year, on a regular-ish basis and always been negative.

Peeceandquite · 10/11/2021 17:15

Neither me or my immediate family have had it. 3 of us work in hospitals, 1 teenager at sixth form who also works in retail, and 2 of us use public transport every day.

Seems so random

Kitkat151 · 10/11/2021 17:18

I haven’t, or my partner, or my 3 children and partner, or my 3 GC or my Mum, or any of my neighbours or any of my close friends.....in fact I know only a handful of people who have had Covid ( I’m NW).... mind you we could have been asymptomatic

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 10/11/2021 17:20

No-one in my household that we're aware of. Never even had to go for a PCR test or had a close contact ping.

Happyhappyday · 10/11/2021 17:21

I don’t know anyone close who has had it, but I live abroad in a city that has had fairly firm restrictions & everyone has been really onboard with following! Apart from my colleague who died in March of 2020.

purpleflowerlegs · 10/11/2021 17:22

I've worked full time ward based in a hospital and haven't had it, nor has anyone in my acute team (regular testing and antibody testing) - no one in my house or siblings, parents, in laws etc - no one has had it. I know friends and wider colleagues have though.

As far as I know none of my immediate family has had it, same goes for my parents and in-laws

festivefuschias · 10/11/2021 17:31

I haven’t, neither has anyone in my household. Pretty sure we haven’t had it asymptomatically because DH recently had the antibody test for a study and he had zero antibodies. We have school aged DC tool My parents and siblings and DH’s parents and siblings haven’t had it either. It’s only recently I’ve known anyone at all (friend) who has had it.

Angel2702 · 10/11/2021 17:32

Out of the 15 people in my close family only my parents had it in February and my daughter had it over half term. Despite most of the adults working in schools and there being 7 children in the group.

trumpisagit · 10/11/2021 17:32

None of our family of 4 have knowingly had it. Neither have any of DH's family 2 of which are patient facing NHS.

However everyone else we know with kids has had at least one child had it.

I believe DC1 must have had covid asymptomatically as he has been exposed so many times, but perhaps not.

careerchangeperhaps · 10/11/2021 17:34

None of my immediate family (nor close ish relatives like parents / siblings / nieces / nephews etc.) have had it yet.
We all work / study / go outside the home. We're double-vaccinated (not the kids as all are under 12).

StillMedusa · 10/11/2021 17:39

It's interesting isn't it?
I work in a special school.. worked throughout all the lockdowns, no social distancing with the needs our children have.. and didn't catch it.
Til last week!! After my booster!
Why now? And why are the rest of my family so far cheerfully testing negative every day when they have shared the same home?

Lasair · 10/11/2021 17:51

Not me or any of my close friends or family. I work as a teacher and worked all the way through pandemic.

Heatherjayne1972 · 10/11/2021 17:54

Nope. Not me my kids my partner my parents or anyone in the family

Geamhradh · 10/11/2021 17:54

Me, dp, DD and almost everyone I know
I'm in Italy, and a teacher.

Sexnotgender · 10/11/2021 17:55

Me, or anyone in my family.

cirrusminor · 10/11/2021 17:58

Neither I nor DP and our respective families (including extended families) have knowingly had it. Only one of my friends has.
