Who HASN'T had Covid?

I haven't. I've been in work (out of home) since June 2nd 2020 and I work with 2-4 year olds, mostly covered in bodily fluids. Nearly everyone I know has had it, including 2 of my children. Dh, DS1 and I have not had it. I feel like it's a waiting game now.

Me and my mother that we know of. We did have a mild cough/cold at the start of the covid pandemic in March 2020 but no idea if that was it or not.

Bagadverts · 10/11/2021 19:32

I haven’t afaik (only left tests and one pcr for symptoms). I wasn’t surprised up till August when I started back at work and on public transport where not many are wearing masks. However office is still cautious.

MintJulia · 10/11/2021 19:36

Neither me nor DS. I've worn a mask whenever I've been inside anywhere except my house, for the 18 months. DS has been to school but not shown any signs of catching it or passing it to me.

My booster jab is booked for next month.

Me. I’ve been in an office since 23rd March 2020, numerous tests throughout (at least weekly at one point), nothing. Not a sniffle or a tickle. Same for DH, DD, DMIL (89). I know a handful of people who’ve had it.
I consider it pure luck.

ivfbabymomma1 · 10/11/2021 19:42

I don't think I've had it? However my DH has so maybe I did but no hint of any symptoms if I did!

chocolateorangeinhaler · 10/11/2021 19:45

Me and I worked in a hospital all the way through. None of my colleagues have either and we all wonder why we haven't.

FlickerBeat · 10/11/2021 19:48

Me, DH, and our immediate family have not had it. Thank God.

Juanbablo · 10/11/2021 19:51

Me, dh and ds2. Dd had it and ds1 currently has it. I work out of the home with small children and have done throughout with the exception of the first lockdown. Both the children who have had Covid caught it at school.

Newbabynewhouse · 10/11/2021 19:52

Maybe you've had it but had no symptoms at all so didnt know?

I have never tested positive, felt iffy a couple of times and had a test, negative!

I also feel like its a waiting game and was actually thinking this before....

Beahappy2a · 10/11/2021 19:58

Not a single member of immediate family or extended family, nor a single friend has had covid.

StormyCornishSeas · 10/11/2021 20:00

Neither me or my immediate family of 3 have had it

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 10/11/2021 20:01

I’ve not had any symptoms and have only ever tested negative on LFT for work.
My husband has had it twice and we share a bed so I can’t imagine I haven’t had it. I just haven’t suffered from it like he did.

MotherWol · 10/11/2021 20:03

Me, DH and DC haven’t had it (yet). In May I got sent an antibody test kit as part of the ZOE study which came back negative, and we test regularly so I’d be a bit surprised if we’d had it unknowingly since then.

My parents and sister have both had it though and cases are high in our school so I’m definitely concerned that it’ll come to us.

itsutterlyshit · 10/11/2021 20:15

Neither DH or I have. Both working throughout and daily contact with multiple members of the public. Limited/no PPE at the very early stages. We're either very lucky or immune.

I had people deliberately coughing in my face/spitting at me who said they were covid positive when doing it so I've come to the conclusion that I am immune 🤞🏼

MrsFin · 10/11/2021 20:29

Me, and all my family and all my friends.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 10/11/2021 20:30

I’ve never had any symptoms but when I was tested last summer I had antibodies. Hardly surprising as I was working on hospital wards right at the start with shockingly bad infection control procedures. I had another antibody test earlier this year for the Zoe trial which showed that I had no natural antibodies.

Our teenage dc were involved in an antibody trial which ended in February (3 tests over about 5 months) - neither of them had any antibodies at that time.

We have been doing regular lateral flow tests since they became available and have never had a positive one. We’ve done PCRs as and when needed following contact from test and trace and if anyone has had what could be covid symptoms. They’ve all been negative.

I’m frankly amazed that none of us seem to have had it and am at the point when I just wish we could get it over and done with before it messes something up that we’re really looking forward to. I know that we may get it more than once though. I wish it was like chicken pox where the majority of people only get it once in a lifetime.

Thesummeriwas16 · 10/11/2021 20:33

I haven't and none of my family have either. I work in a hospital and worked in a department where several people had been working with COVID and were not aware of it.

MrsSkylerWhite · 10/11/2021 20:34

Our family unit, both sets of parents and great grandparents, eldest’s in laws, their parents.

We were all extremely cautious up to vaccines/boosters though and will continue that way, particularly since youngest started university and grandchild started at groups.

No-one in our immediate (smallish) friendship group has caught it either.

Fredstheteds · 10/11/2021 20:36

Immediate family hasn’t and that’s quite a lot

OrangeSamphire · 10/11/2021 20:36

I don’t know a single person who has tested positive for covid.

nousernamehere01 · 10/11/2021 20:38

I haven't! Neither has my SO, toddler, or mum.

We all (except the toddler of course) got vaccinated as soon as we could which was quite early as I have asthma, and my mum is over 55. Don't know why my partner was offered his so early but his doctors is a small village one so perhaps that's why 😂

And we all make sure we still wear our masks, don't really go out to eat at all and stay away from crowded areas!

Now I'm pregnant and waiting to be eligible for my booster!

The whole of my SOs family have had it though, and only after they had was when they started caring about keeping safe. His grandparents were even hospitalised (thank goodness they were okay although having a few long term effects)

Bontanics · 10/11/2021 20:40

I don't know anyone who had had it.

heidbuttsupper · 10/11/2021 20:41

Me, partner, best pal, everyone I work with (17 people), neighbours...could go on. I know less people that haven't had it than have

ivykaty44 · 10/11/2021 20:41

I haven't had it (was with cancer patient for first lock down)so if id had it then we would have known about it

my daughter had it and I didn't, tested when she was ill in January

know two people who died from covid

am vaccinated now and test regularly

ExcessiveIyDisorganised · 10/11/2021 20:43

Hardly anyone I know has had it.

Immediate family - none of us despite us going to school / working on site throughout. LFT x2 weekly since they became available
Extended family 1 out of 12 has had it.
Colleagues 1 out of 14 has had it
My close friends 3 out of 10 have had it
DH's close friends 1 out of 5 have had it
