Why are you awake?

One of these threads got me through three nights of early labour so I thought I'd start a new one.

My 5 month old is going through a painful sleep regression and I'm struggling to get her back in the crib. She's snoring gently on my chest while I feel nauseous with exhaustion....

Who else is awake? What are you up to tonight?

Sleep regression and I have bad toothache ☹️

Goleor · 01/04/2021 04:32

I'm up the last hour and a half with morning (all day) sickness.

LazyYogi · 01/04/2021 04:35

Toddler up for an hour 1-2 and I haven't managed to get back to sleep. Happens every time I have a sniff of alcohol in the evening. So that's out for me from now on. Not worth the exhaustion. It's too hot here. And DP is a fidget. Blah. My eyes are sore.

Morning! I’ve been awake since 1:19 because the baby woke up and then I started to worry about house sale. Then about ten minutes ago I realised I didn’t put the bin out last night so I’ll have to be up at 6:15 to do that. Shit.

YukoandHiro · 01/04/2021 04:53

@MissCrowley that's the cold we had - gave my 5mo one night of croup which was the worst.
We all seemed better but maybe DH overdid it the last few days as we've been busy.

I've been awake since half one too @sallywinter. My toddler will probably be up in half a hour. What larks!
We are about to put our place on the market.

@Jellybean81 have you tried a pregnancy pillow? That helped ease my hip pain.

I'm currently up feeding my fussy 5 week old!

Muriel84 · 01/04/2021 05:04

@jbx10 hey! I was just about to recommend the same! How are you doing? I’m also awake with my babe. He’s 5 weeks and 4 days. Sound asleep in my arms looking absolutely gorgeous. He has tummy ache which makes him stir every few mins. Seems to get it every night after night feed.

@Jellybean81 have you tried sleeping on a duvet? I put one under the sheet from about 25 weeks to soften the bed for my hips and it helped a lot. Needed to shake it to fluff it up every few days. My hip pain was awful. I’d have to get up a few times in the night to walk it off. So lovely and comfy in bed now just no opportunity to sleep 🙄I also had silly expensive bbhugme pillow as I had a voucher which did help me sleep a lot. Good luck! X

Hi all! Checking in. 6 week old DD up with tummy trouble for the past hour.

Brighton2019 · 01/04/2021 05:19

Checking in too... had a work deadline and then my eldest got up as he hurt himself at football training and the pain woke him up! Hoping its better when he gets up otherwise its off to A&e for us.
Absolutely no point in going to sleep as likely will feel groggy when the alarm goes off in 10 mins!

Sirzy · 01/04/2021 06:58

Well I managed to dose off for an hour. Checked the side effects of Ds newest drug and it can cause sleep problems so I’m really hoping that last nights issues where a one off not a side effect!

jbx10 · 01/04/2021 07:11

@Muriel84 we're doing well thank you last few nights have been tough baby been so fussy and won't settle but she seems to be coming back out of that now. Fingers crossed anyway 😂 hope you & your LO are doing well xx
