user2021 · 05/03/2021 20:17

Just having a gander on Rightmove and was curious about my area.

Most expensive property currently for sale:
£21,995,000

(Yes, £21million!)

Cheapest currently for sale:
£190,000

There were a couple cheaper but were listed as shared ownership.

I'm in London.

Nothing for sale in my exact postcode but in the first part of the postcode, the most expensive is £325,000 and the cheapest is £30,000.

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 05/03/2021 20:56

With the first half of my postcode there is a studio flat for £80,000 and a 4 bed detached for £850,000. Although they share a first part of postcode, one is in central Southend and the other Thorpe Bay. Very different areas.

Chihuahuacat · 05/03/2021 20:58

user2021 · 05/03/2021 21:01

Yes, first half of postcode. Sorry

Eg SW2, GU25, BR1 etc..

OP posts:
AngelsWithSilverWings · 05/03/2021 21:01

Essex - 1 bed flat £160k or 5 bed house with pool £1.5 million

The actual cheapest thing advertised for sale was a garage for £40k - madness!

Only put in the first part of the postcode so covers a wide area.

TierFourTears · 05/03/2021 21:02

Only one flat in my postcode.
My town goes from 85k to 650k.

merryhouse · 05/03/2021 21:03

Ooh, I've had another look at that POA and now I'm torn. What does everyone think?

Should I buy Flass Vale Hall
www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/84542365#/

or Crook Hall?
www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/85107937#/

Thighdentitycrisis · 05/03/2021 21:04

Most expensive - 5 bedroom detached new build on brand new estate £526995.

Small town, 7 miles south of Edinburgh.

Thighdentitycrisis · 05/03/2021 21:09

Sorry didn’t read the OP properly!
Still the same result with using first part of post code

Bloodybridget · 05/03/2021 21:10

I just put the first half of my postcode. Most expensive: grade 1 listed £2,350,000 6 bed 17th century terraced house on a busy road, but opposite a green space. Cheapest, apart from a couple of shared ownership flats, £210,000 for a studio flat, a living room/bedroom that's 12' x 10'7''. The street is ok. Inner London, zone 2.

wellthatsunusual · 05/03/2021 21:12

The cheapest is £53,000 and the most expensive is £700,000

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 05/03/2021 21:12

Nothing for sale in my postcode which is only a short cul de sac.
But in the village I'm in the highest is £1,295,000 a 5 bed detached
The cheapest is £149,950 for a three bed terrace.

Superstardjs · 05/03/2021 21:12

1 bed studio 220k
5 bed semi 1.7m

Starseeking · 05/03/2021 21:14

North West Surrey/Middlesex

Most expensive = £965k, though they've just reduced from £999k, and been on the market for more than a year. I think they need to reduce the price by about £200k, as no-one with £1m to spend will spend it here (it is huge though).

Cheapest = £480k, nice looking house, price seems on the low side, so I expect they are looking for a quick sale.

Pollaidh · 05/03/2021 21:14

Highest: £3 million - 6 bed house
Lowest: £560k - 2 bed terrace

Nice part of a picturesque city centre, in south of England.

SpeckledyHen · 05/03/2021 21:14

£1.5m 5 bed detached
£149k 1 bed flat

Berkshire village

Flass Vale Hall. I dream of my own swimming pool.

In my area, the most expensive is 1.1 million and the cheapest 65K but reading between the lines you'd have to nearly knock it down and start again.
