This morning I was worried about bringing in my emptied recycling boxes in case the neighbours thought I'd forgotten to put them out
This is clearly lunacy. I have never cared in my life about what anyone else thinks
Anyone else? Please tell me I'm not alone in my madness!

@peaceanddove

Normally, I only have a passing interest in travel/holiday programs. But last night, both DH and I were both absolutely transfixed by a travel show about France. We barely breathed for the whole 30 minutes, we were so greedy for it. I'm only surprised that DH didn't drop his trousers and start wanking.

We have both been to France. We don't like it.

How can you not like France? All of it? Some bits in particular?

@MuchTooTired

The kids and I haven’t left the house for nearly a year. It’s now part of our routine to sit out and watch the sun rise, do gardening and I have taken up repetitive hoovering as something to do and bread making.

I hate early mornings and gardening.

Two days ago it wasn’t even 10am and I had literally run out of things to do with the kids and there were hours until bedtime.

I have to go for a scan tomorrow, and I’m a confused jumble of being excited to see other human beings and terrified of seeing other human beings at the same time.

I don’t understand life so much anymore!

A whole year? Not even for a walk?
NomadNoMore · 21/02/2021 20:41

I measured and labelled all my sheets 😳

Iwantmychairback · 21/02/2021 20:46

Started arguing with DH about who is going to do the hoovering........we both want to do it!

TwirpingBird · 21/02/2021 20:56

I mutter 'he is definitely standing too close to her' at the tv when watching pre pandemic shows.

ginandwineandbaileys · 21/02/2021 21:28

I've got a builder coming tomorrow to do a quote. I'm so excited. I used to live next door to him, might have a natter and a cuppa in the garden 😁

ginandwineandbaileys · 21/02/2021 21:34

Just realised that might be breaking rules. Humph

@StareIntotheMaggotDrawer

Yesterday I finally ran out of things to google. I just stared at my phone for a little while, and there was literally nothing I wanted to know. Then I went to bed at 7pm.
I have found my people.
AlohaMolly · 21/02/2021 22:13

This is the most fun social interaction I’ve had in weeks.

I live with DP and DS.

Silkies · 21/02/2021 22:23

sueelleker Yes I brought forward about 10 years worth of house projects Grin

I've also developed a habit of napping from around 6pm to around 10pm.

I looked up reviews of the ferry to the cottage we booked on MN and found these very reassuring reviews stating seasickness, rain and a crewman dying on the crossing over Shock:

Totally relatable.
AmandaHoldensLips · 21/02/2021 22:30

I found myself doing an impression of Dave Angel with the walk and everything while singing Moonlight Shadow.

Silkies · 21/02/2021 22:48

I asked DH what he was doing. He replied I am currently assembling a single bed for the cat.

GBand · 21/02/2021 22:54

@peaceanddove

I fell down a rabbit hole of towel folding techniques, and now every towel in the house looks like a piece of sculptural art. I messaged my friend with the link and she was very excited, but struggled to get the final tuck neat enough. I have just Face Timed her and done a slo mo demonstration and she's cracked it.
Oh god this is brilliant. Well done you Grin
GBand · 21/02/2021 22:56

I'm an endurance runner. We have just watched a documentary about a 100 mile race in America

Started making ACTUAL plans to do it - including a long discussion about training plans around our village. Before realising I'd probably die. Sad

Curlygirl06 · 22/02/2021 10:41

I had the gas boiler
serviced today. Monday is downstairs housework day, so I usually get dressed in scruffy clothes. I seriously debated putting tidy clothes on.
In the end I wore my tidy jeans but wore my usual scruffy housework fleece. I very nearly wore my nice fleece.

gggrrrargh · 22/02/2021 11:04

I was ridiculously excited to get one of those charity collection bags through the door today. It makes the great Spare Cupboard sort out complete and the extra duvet sets will go on their next journey.

Yep - baths are part way through the day and made to last 45 minutes here too..

Chimeraforce · 22/02/2021 11:09

I've taken up knitting (badly) . I'm knitting a scarf with an alarming amount of unintended holes in it 🤔
I keep thinking yeah, I'll sort them at the end with a crochet hook. 😂
I talk to the Robins and play their calls on YouTube to see how they respond 😂
I swear and do the v sign when those adverts "could you look your bus driver in the eye" covid come on the radio.

2020nymph · 22/02/2021 11:20

@babyyodaxmas

I paid a cheque in today. A bona fida reason to leave the house.

You can pay these in via the app if you bank with Halifax.

BruceAndNosh · 23/02/2021 04:18

My "haven't knitted in 25 years" project is going surprisingly well.
So much so that that I am already on my second and only remaining ball of wool, so I had to walk to dry cleaners (who bizarrely sell wool) to buy some more.
So that's a win win!

Deathraystare · 23/02/2021 09:08

@HalfShrunkMoreToGo

Those curtains are fabulous! Love Day of the Dead stuff!

MmeD · 23/02/2021 12:42

When lockdown is over I’m going to have such a big life, I’ve promised myself. I might attend a football match. I don’t like football, don’t follow it, never have, but I just fancy being in a crowd of yelling strangers. With random hugs. Just once.

Whatflavourjellybabyisnice · 23/02/2021 13:05

@Saz12

I’ve just finished hand-knitting a rug. I’ve not knitted anything since I was about 8, and hated it then. The rug looks shit.
