Where in the UK can I get an amazing house for £650k

We want to love when dd goes to uni and are currently in the south. I'd love a big ish detached house with a big garden and off an estate for £650-700k .. any ideas on areas that are nice ?
Jobs are irrelevant as DH works from home and only needs to get to an airport a few times a year .

Leicestershire / Nottinghamshire

North Lancashire. Loads of gorgeous villages or perfect small towns like Lancaster.

North Wales, you'd get something fantastic for that money. Hour ish to Manchester airport.

Or Chester, again you'd get something nice.
