So thinking ahead of things to look forward to, what is the first restaurant you'll be going to and what will you be ordering?

Tapas. Lots of loveliness washed down with a large Rioja or three.

orangeicecream · 26/04/2020 09:16

I asked my young teens this the other day.... Both chose yo sushi. DS said he would just order mochi and DD wanted katsu curry. I would go to Bills probably... Not sure on my order but it would be greedy 👍

Greggs honestly
I was so excited they had brought nacho cheese pasties back and then they closed.

Then the new Indian restaurant near me, which does paneer tikka that gets treated just like eg chicken tikka and is brought to you all sizzling.

StSaulOfSnacks · 26/04/2020 09:17

Local pub for fish and chips.

MigginsMs · 26/04/2020 09:17

My husband’s work

TeddyIsaHe · 26/04/2020 09:18

My local Korean fusion place. They’re doing takeout but it’s not the same!

Sexnotgender · 26/04/2020 09:19

My local vegetarian restaurant. It’s so good and family run and really hope it’s still there when we’re out of lockdown.

andynarwhal · 26/04/2020 09:19

Local fish and chip shop, haddock and chips, sliced white bread and butter, mushy peas, pot of tea and lashings of salt and vinegar! All in a slightly stuffy and chip laced fog of a tiny room.

BuffaloCauliflower · 26/04/2020 09:20

I’d love to go to our favourite Lebanese. Would definitely want to support a smaller business.

Lunch - McDonalds - hoping the creme egg mcflurry sauce won't be out of date!

Evening meal - Village chip shop

userxx · 26/04/2020 09:21

I'm thinking Italian, or maybe tapas or maybe the amazing burger place. I can't wait to go out for dinner.

Furrybootsyecomfy · 26/04/2020 09:22

A lovely little Chinese near me in Edinburgh called B and Ds (Betty and David’s) Kitchen. Has about twenty covers and you order some dishes 48 hours in advance so they can get the stuff in. They’re doing lovely take out but can’t wait to have a meal out and stroll back to my flat with a full belly.
They’re BYOB too!

greensnail · 26/04/2020 09:22

Just the local cafe for lunch with some friends while hopefully the kids are at school. Probably a jacket potato and a big slice of cake.

Then I'll take the dc for a quick McDonald's on the way to their activities after school.

superram · 26/04/2020 09:22

Local restaurant the Walpole, then chez Bruce. But probably bill’s for breakfast, Franco manca for lunch and pub for tea-any pub-I want to go out!!!!

MossWalk · 26/04/2020 09:23

I’ve been craving dumplings, the ones with the broth in them that scald your mouth. Mmmm.

36degrees · 26/04/2020 09:25

There's a Spanish place near us that I have promised I'll take my mum to, a seafood place that my dad's wanted to go to for years and a Japanese place I want to go to with my husband. Each one is usually expensive but we're saving what we would have spent on petrol and train fares while we're working from home, so the bank account can take it even though I've lost a fair chunk of income. We are also very excited about our local chippy opening again.

BeyondMyWits · 26/04/2020 09:25

TGI Friday's - won a prize - a load of vouchers - can't use them!!!!

FenellaMaxwell · 26/04/2020 09:26

Hawksmoor. For a blue fillet steak drowning in bearnaise, with a huge glass of wine.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 26/04/2020 09:27

Or fish pie at our local pub

BigSandyBalls2015 · 26/04/2020 09:28

Or maybe firecracker chicken at Wagamama

NewYorkIvy · 26/04/2020 09:29

In theory, Local Lebanese place. Gorgeous food and the kids love it there too.
In reality, Maccies. The kids have really missed it - post swimming treat

Difficultcustomer · 26/04/2020 09:29

Dimsum in Chinese restaurant or a dosa in Indian restaurant.

LittleRa · 26/04/2020 09:30

Local fresh pasta restaurant for cacio e pepe and aperol spritz! Me and DP at out loads in January to counter the dull post-Christmas feel so we decided to reign it in and not eat out at all in Feb to be “good” and save money... well now I wish we’d eatwn out every night in Feb!!

MrSheenandMe · 26/04/2020 09:30

Also Chez Bruce. Fish of some sort and a chocolate dessert.
Local Fish and Chip shop

HouseTornado · 26/04/2020 09:32

Lunch at Terre Terre in Brighton. Delicious vegetarian food. With DP and DS.

Then local pub for a pint of cider - I've been af for 120 days but I'm seriously considering a drink when this is over.
