So thinking ahead of things to look forward to, what is the first restaurant you'll be going to and what will you be ordering?

@BigSandyBalls2015 @TravellingSpoon Have you checked out Wagamamas Instagram? Their executive chef is doing cooking videos. Day 1 was katsu curry & yesterday was firecracker chicken! That is going on this weeks list 😁

Depends where I am and the time of day, but it will either be an Indian or a French one.
For some reason I am craving a thick slice of pate de campagne at the moment. I could make my own, but am single, live alone and my freezer is broken, so I would be condemned to eating it all before it went off, which would spoil the enjoyment.

bluechameleon · 26/04/2020 11:02

Our local waffle restaurant. I'll have a hummus and avocado waffle for main and an apple crumble waffle for pudding. Or if we go for brunch I will have a bacon and banana waffle.

I would go to Dorchester where my son lives and visit a lovely tea shop called The Posh Partridge! It's an independent, family run place and everything is freshly made!

onemouseplace · 26/04/2020 11:07

Local Italian we were booked to go to for Mother’s Day that obviously didn’t happen.

Then Gymkhana as they’d only just reopened and we wanted to go for DH’s birthday at the end of March.

lokoho · 26/04/2020 11:08

The pub for Sunday lunch!!

I want to walk through the woods and sit down to roast beef and horseradish and a yorkie smothered in gravy and a pint of mild.

Sarcelle · 26/04/2020 11:10

Fish n chip shop in Worthing. Or my fave pizza place in Brighton. I live in London but worth the trip....

ArbitraryNameChange · 26/04/2020 11:14

A little vegan cafe in Swansea. I don't even live there any more but that's how much I love it - I'm prepared to travel.

I really hope she re-opens. Really really really really.

lokoho · 26/04/2020 11:15

@blettedmedlar & @circustown - they are apparently delivering! (if you mean the one at Norland Moor). It won't be the same though. Ah, that is a great pub.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 26/04/2020 11:16

Greggs
My local
My local favourite Indian
The tapas bar my son bought me a Christmas present voucher for and I had planned to use the week we got locked down

Nicolastuffedone · 26/04/2020 11:18

A brilliant Italian restaurant in Glasgow.....I cannot wait!

Clawdy · 26/04/2020 11:19

Pokusevski's, our little local restaurant, for tapas. Or just coffee and cake with a friend there.

ssd · 26/04/2020 11:28

We'll probably takes the ds's out and celebrate us all being together again.
Their choice, I'm not fussed.

Sparklfairy · 26/04/2020 11:33

@SuperLoudPoppingAction oh paneer tikka Sad nowhere around here does decent paneer, I have to cook it myself! I miss London!

There's a Moroccan restaurant locally that does the most amazing pork belly. I'll be making a beeline for there as soon as it opens assuming it hasn't gone bust

I do worry how many restaurants will be able to hang on until after lockdown.

CorianderLord · 26/04/2020 11:40

@SuperLoudPoppingAction Iceland sell the nacho melts!

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 26/04/2020 11:43

I hope they have made it to the north of Scotland.

You can't even get the veg bakes in actual greggs shops here - just cheese ones.
And more recently vegan sausage rolls and fake steak bakes.

I'm not near an Iceland but will look if/when I can go to a bigger city in the nebulous future.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 26/04/2020 11:43

Best place I had paneer tikka before my new local opened was a tiny take away in mytholmroyd.
There is hope!

DonnaDarko · 26/04/2020 11:44

The local chippy. I miss fish and chips so much.

Wagamamas is a close second

Ninkanink · 26/04/2020 11:54

Oh yes we’re definitely going for fish and chips. It’s a half hour drive to the nearest good chippy but well worth it.

BiggerBoat1 · 26/04/2020 11:56

Definitely local to support small business. Probably tapas.

SuperficialSuzie · 26/04/2020 12:04

Village pub for their lovely deli platter

spiderlight · 26/04/2020 12:23

Luna's Vegan Corner - the most perfect, welcoming, dog-friendly little place in the world. I'm having the Arancini to start, then the truly epic Buddha Bowl salad, and chocolate orange pudding for dessert.

Tink1990 · 26/04/2020 12:39

I really miss takeaway KFC. I am craving it soo much. Still not delivering in my area! Also Maccies and local chippy. Ahh I miss it all!!

MiniChoc · 26/04/2020 12:43

Wagamama. I can't get that bang bang cauliflower in me quick enough quite frankly!

Also I LOVE Pizza Express but doubt it'll survive. Sad
