So thinking ahead of things to look forward to, what is the first restaurant you'll be going to and what will you be ordering?

The beach cafe up on the coast at old Hunstanton. I am really missing the sea and can't wait to be able to drive up there for a long walk...

Bertucci · 26/04/2020 22:07

A fabulous independent restaurant in our town. We go there often and really miss it.

Ltdannygreen · 26/04/2020 22:08

TGI

Timeforatincture · 28/04/2020 14:43

Darby's in Vauxhall, under the new US embassy. SO GOOD!

twigs13 · 28/04/2020 16:03

I love Chez Bruce as well. A late lunch & BYO , followed by a lovely stroll.

PotholeParadise · 28/04/2020 16:26

Pizza Express. My local pub for a Sunday lunch.

Ooh, maybe this one café in town and of course, Subway.

Ulver · 28/04/2020 16:28

One of the Hakkasan Group, Yatchua, Robata, Hakkasan or Sake No Hana.

Chinese or Japanese.

Ulver · 28/04/2020 16:30

Or Franca Manca for pizza.

cheeseaddict420 · 28/04/2020 16:41

I really love eating out and did it a LOT. the range of cuisines available in my city are my favourite thing about living here.

But honestly? I am just really worried a lot of them will close and never re-open Sad

Mummyilovejokes1 · 28/04/2020 18:44

Miller & Carter Steakhouse
Wagamamas
😋😋

Rebelwithallthecause · 28/04/2020 18:50

Sushisamba
Or sticks and sushi
Closely followed by pizza express

Katinski · 28/04/2020 19:02

No hesitation - Purnell's in Birmingham Star
While we've been in lockdown, Glynn's been busy delivering food boxes to the Chelmsley Wood area in Brum (lots of high rise flats there) and therefore he deserves 3 StarStarStar
Brilliant Michelin chef and all-round top blokeSmile

PotholeParadise · 28/04/2020 19:04

Can I lower the tone and say the chip-shop? My local one has shut down completely for the duration. Can't believe it's been over a month since I had chips.

MinesaPinot · 28/04/2020 19:05

Our local Indian. It is fab and they are doing takeaways and deliveries but nothing beats sitting round a table with friends and several bottles of wine.

BoswellsBollocks · 28/04/2020 19:08

Either Ask as I was given a load of vouchers for my birthday just before lockdown, or a local bbq place where we did go for my birthday but DS2 was unable to come with us so I’d like to go back, with him this time.

BoswellsBollocks · 28/04/2020 19:10

Or to our local Indian restaurant which is brilliant and only a short walk from our house.

startswithanL · 28/04/2020 19:13

Wagamama's hands down - chilli fried squid and a steak yaki soba washed down with a large peach iced tea 👅

MaureenSowerbutts · 28/04/2020 19:14

The Real Greek in Dulwich or on The Southbank, not fusy. But I will stop on the way and have a massively overpriced shit sugary Hazelnut Latte from Starbucks, I am really missing those!

LapsedVeganAcademic · 28/04/2020 19:18

The fantastically old fashioned pizzeria about a mile away. Not hugely fussed what to order, because it's all so good. They don't take bookings though, so we may have to join the queue at 6am to get in for lunch!

Jasmin82 · 28/04/2020 19:18

I'd like to say Cafe Rouge, but it's more likely to be McDonalds depending on how much money I have left when it's all over.

TheHumansAreDefinitelyDead · 28/04/2020 19:32

I used to love eating out

But can’t think where I’d go, Wagamama is ok, and our local pub does nice food

I guess I just fancy a day of not cooking. But often find restaurant food too salty or greasy Grin (how picky do I sound!)

JimmyTheWeed · 28/04/2020 20:05

McDonald's! Then probably Gregg's. I miss their vegetable bakes so much. Thankfully,my local fish and chip shop have been doing deliveries,so I haven't had to go without my favourite meal of cod and chips for the last five weeks!
