I'm having a run of bad luck and in an effort to try and stay positive I'm focusing on happy little things. So minor they could just be taken for granted but sometimes those things see you through.

My oven isn't broken after all.
I've made a lovely cake in my non broken oven and the smell has filled the house.
I'm spending time sewing this afternoon.... a Harry Potter quilt for the dog.

Anyone else?

My cat snuggled down on my lap for half an hour this morning. My cat doesn't normally 'do' laps.

A bird was singing outside my window this morning.

We're just back from holiday and sone flowers that DD2 bought for me before we went are still looking beautiful - very welcoming when we walked in

The DC are with their grandparents today and I have cleaned the whole house from top to bottom - it's sparkling!

I've just put fresh bedding on for tonight.
I have the house to myself so I'm using a face mask and having a bubble bath.
Utter bliss

I'm having fajitas for tea tonight which isn't really a 'happy little thing' because I disproportionately fucking adore fajitas.

I've dried a full line of washing today and my clothes smell amazing

Tomorrow our local corner shop re-opens after a month's closure. They're giving out free slush puppies and goody bags and I plan to be first in line.

Tomorrow I am going to Savers the chemist and spending at least £15 on loads of cleaning products because I'm bored with just using Flash spray.

I ordered my DP a new tablet which arrived today. I've wrapped it up and hidden it in his PJs so he'll find it when he gets home. I'm really pumped for him finding it.

My new bedding has arrived and I've washed it so it's all lovely for later.

I did a cleaning blitz earlier because dd was having a friend round and I’m enjoying how fresh everything looks and smells for a change

Found a 'posh' lip balm I got for Xmas in my bedside cabinet- I thought I'd thrown it out with the packaging.

I've had an enjoyable day flirting with someone playing a fictional character on Twitter.

DS2 is calm and quiet.

I've done the shopping.

It isn't raining.

I've just almost finished a song I've been trying to write for the last couple of months.

It's made me disproportionately happy because it's inspired by a conversation I had in December with a guy I met online. 3 months later we're very happy together. It's been a long time since I was in a relationship and I never thought it could be this good.

Made time to do yoga this morning.

DH has taken the kids out this afternoon.

I happily planning my next sewing project to wear to my brother's wedding.

My DD and I have spent a lot of this half term, chilling on the sofa, watching movies and eating snacks. It brings me joy.

My cup of coffee tastes really really good.

My 5yo DS asked me for a kiss today. He's autistic so it doesn't happen often 🥰

Only 2 hours until I finish work for the weekend!

After a morning of rampant diarrhoea, I just managed a 40 minute drive without disaster. I feel like I’ve won the lottery .

DS was dry last night. Perhaps that bedwetting alarm is working.

I went to yoga this morning.

DH and I visited a new coffee shop this morning. The coffee was great and so was the toasted tea cake with homemade raspberry jam.

We walked amongst a sea of snowdrops.

I've just started crocheting a new reversible throw

Had a stupidly long hospital appointment (as did everyone else in the county it seemed it was rammed.
But!
Unexpectedly saw consultant who offered me an impromptu slot for next week when I would have had to wait three months for op, result!
Also...
Have warm up Chinese food for supper.
Turned into a good day
