What are your favourite breeds of dog ?

Mine are:

Really big: Great Dane, especially Harlequin;

Big: Newfoundland, any shade of brown;

Less big: Labrador Retriever, any colour;

Medium: Border Collie, especially Blue Merle;

Smaller: English Show Cocker Spaniel, roans and colour 'patches';

Smaller still: Pembroke Corgi;

Fun size: smooth Jack Russell terrier.

1- German Shepherd
2- Saluki
3- Greyhound

Sighthounds. We have four. Might be getting one more but he is a Bull Greyhound so not technically a full sighthound. He’s massive and when he’s well enough to be homed we are going to give him serious consideration.

Working cockers! Biased as I've had two, but they're just such lively, loving, hilarious little kleptomaniacs. I wouldn't be without one.

Golden retrievers, long haired Herman shepherds, collies and Labrador’s

Spaniels! Any type

But also GSDs and dobermans - I like a big strong dog
But the idea of a spaniel on a lovely country walk is heaven

1. Golden retriever (I had the best ever. She died 6 years ago and i still miss her hugely)
2. Corgi (my parents had two and our Best Dog Ever was the one we had during my tricky teen years. She was a fabulous counsellor)
3. West highland White/Jack Russell: equal billing (you've got to love that ego/small man syndrome - I currently have a super but not easy jrt but grew up with a series of loyal, tough Westies)

If I lived alone and was retired I would choose a westie probably. Or a retriever. Or a corgi. Or maybe a jrt.

Bearded Collie - clever, funny, stubborn, bonkers

Giant breeds.

I'd also love a greyhound.

Long haired german shepherd is my favourite breed.
But I won't ever get another as it would remind me too much of my darling girl who died last year.
We are hopefully getting a clumber spaniel next year.

My friend has a northern Inuit . He has to be the most beautiful dog I've ever seen

My favourites are westies and beagles! I have a soft spot for cockapoos too!

I love Irish setters to look at. Never owned one but dream that one day I will.

I love so many but especially whippets, greyhounds, working cocker spaniels and collies

He's my favourite kind of dog my little best friend, well I say little but he's massive. Big friendly giant ❤️

Don't tell my two but I've got a real thing for Wolfhounds. And German Shepherds.
