What are your favourite breeds of dog ?

Mine are:

Really big: Great Dane, especially Harlequin;

Big: Newfoundland, any shade of brown;

Less big: Labrador Retriever, any colour;

Medium: Border Collie, especially Blue Merle;

Smaller: English Show Cocker Spaniel, roans and colour 'patches';

Smaller still: Pembroke Corgi;

Fun size: smooth Jack Russell terrier.

She usually sleeps like this and we all have to step over her!!

Here's one of my Shih Tzus. His little baby face just makes me melt! Really don't want him to grow.

My favourite dogs are Staffies.

However we have a Lab, which is my husband's favourite breed. I was getting a dog so was willing to compromise !

When I win the lottery, and give up working I'm getting myself a staffie!

I do pet care and I walk a couple of cockapoos and they're so cute. I'm more of a cat person, but do find the cockapoo so amiable and charming.

Dh didn't think she was gorgeous when she uplifted the new flooring after 2 days!!

But look at that face and thems gawjus eyes!! I couldn't be mad, I just couldn't Love how she's just sat there like "What floor? Oh thaaat? Yeah, that weren't me mate, dunno. Found it like this."

Coton De Tulear! Affectionate, loyal, cuddly, non shedding ball of white fluff😍

I love all sight-hounds, but recently fell head over heels in love with a Whippet Bedlington terrier cross, and it's now my main ambition in life to get one.

@Cotonshadedn - I now need a Coton De Tulear immediately! How have I never seen them before??

mustardscreams your welshie is beautiful! Yes ours is mad but he is so brilliant and has calmed down a lot as he’s got older (8 now)

I met a dog who was a german Shepherd/spaniel mix. He was utterly gorgeous, stopped me in my tracks. It was quite an effort, but I managed not to kidnap him.

Apologies to labradoodle lovers

@JMoore we have a Coton at school. He belongs to our fabulous receptionist but wanders round everywhere. He’s brilliant, barks his head off at people wearing helmets, loves cuddles, comes pelting up for a stroke and has been amazing adjusting to a different lifestyle from most other dogs. He’s the best!

Never had one but I dream of Border Collies. So lovely, lively and clever. One day!

Long haired sausage dogs

Golden Retriever, the gentlest, calmest, funniest most loveable dog ever. Oh and If anyone is reading who is allergic to dogs, me too, to a lot of breeds and never considered a Retriever. Not allergic! They have quite oily hair and I think this may limit the dander, I really don't know, they are fab though
