What are your favourite breeds of dog ?

Mine are:

Really big: Great Dane, especially Harlequin;

Big: Newfoundland, any shade of brown;

Less big: Labrador Retriever, any colour;

Medium: Border Collie, especially Blue Merle;

Smaller: English Show Cocker Spaniel, roans and colour 'patches';

Smaller still: Pembroke Corgi;

Fun size: smooth Jack Russell terrier.

JRT's smooth haired like my boy!

Closely followed by Greyhounds, whippets and I love a mongrel dog too.

Great Dane's are beautiful but would worry about the poo, my friend has a husky and his poo needs bin bags rather than a nappy sacks 🤣

Greyhounds, Galgas and Lurchers for me.

Anything big and fluffy eg bearded collie.

Border collies, just so smart, when they look into your eyes, there is definitely a deeper understanding than other dogs have.

Whippets and greyhounds, they just look funny to me.

I used to like pugs but the fact that they can barely breathe makes me sad.

Wheaten Terrier. I am an absolute sucker for any dog that looks as though it's wearing a pair of curly trousers.

I have a 15 year old labrador.

Weimaraner - handsome

Jack Russells are the best dogs by far for me.

I also love Dalmatians and Shelties.

If you can't get a Border Terrier just keep going until you can get a Border Terrier.

This dog isn't mine but I do think Border Terriers are little dogs who think they are big dogs.

We used to gave a border terrier. The NAUGHTIEST dog we have ever owned but he was such a character and a cutie that he got away with murder! Everyone loved him, sadly he died of cancer when he was 6. I've wanted another but my husband wont consider it (he wasnt Harvey's biggest fan) 😓

Anything that’s fit for function and that isn’t brachycephalic ie can bloody breathe! I feel so sorry for the ones that have been bred to have flat faces 😢Awful thing to do to an animal.

Coton de Tulear. We have one. "White, fluffy, no shedding, portable in size, loves to swim (but not baths!), rolls in mud" kind of dog.

I also love Irish Wolfhounds, but that would a totally different kind of dog...

Cairn terrier, always had a couple growing up and long for one now
