It’s cold here, I want that lovely hot weather back.

missmouse I can't believe you pm'd me about this, just post on the bloody thread - and you clearly don't understand severe asthma!

Why the angst? Put as many jumpers and pairs of socks on as you like and I will put my heating on!

OutPinked · 27/08/2018 19:52

Had mine on earlier. So happy to be needing it, definitely not missing the horrible heatwave.

HolyMountain · 27/08/2018 20:19

It’s warmer today, no need for heat but the tumble dryer is on a roll.

Gotta love artificial heat Grin

Nope; the girls have asked a few times but I told them to wrap up.

Can't afford to have it on - not entirely sure how I'm managing winter yet.

DS2 is still coughing. This weather sucks. Bring back the sun please.

stoplickingthetelly · 27/08/2018 20:38

No heating yet, I refuse because it's still technically summer. But dh has given in and lit the fire tonight. Winter duvets back on the beds today too. Summer ones packed away until next year.

EnormousDormouse · 27/08/2018 20:41

Jumper on yesterday.
Big fleecy socks added today.

Looking forward to heading back to the ME at the weekend. I am actually missing the heat now!

Bluntness100 · 27/08/2018 20:41

Yup had mine on earlier and wood burner on last night, if it's cold it's cold.

DMCWelshCakes · 27/08/2018 21:48

Wood burner has been lit here. I try not to put the heating on until November though.

Reasons are as follows:

Log burner pretty much heats the house if we position the doors correctly.
My bathroom has underfloor heating for the early mornings.
Everyone else gets up later than me & they rush around like lunatics so don't need extra heating.
I work in an outbuilding that has an electric heater so don't need the heating on during work hours.
We don't have any young/old/ill people in the house.
I'm bloody stubborn & like the challenge.
