It’s cold here, I want that lovely hot weather back.

No but they have been up in the lift to get the autumn/winter clothes and dressing gowns down!

dudsville · 26/08/2018 14:55

It's 15 degrees here. Feels cool compared to summer, and I would like to dry my laundry more quickly, but it doesn't feel too cool with socks and stuff.

Shockers · 26/08/2018 14:57

Fire lit last night, heating and big jumper today. We are in the north though.

I’m acclimatising myself for 30 degree heat; we go on holiday tonight 😎

user1457017537 · 26/08/2018 14:58

I have, it’s been chilly this week

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 26/08/2018 15:01

Ooh I'm loving the cool weather after the rotten heat wave recently. My toes are chilly and it's wonderful Grin

Slartybartfast · 26/08/2018 15:03

no but i put the duvet on the bed last night, instead of the bedspread thing.

still wearing shorts and a t shirt though

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 26/08/2018 15:04

No. I'm refusing to put it on in August, plus it doesn't feel quite cold enough just yet. A bit chilly maybe.

MrsMozart · 26/08/2018 15:08

Considered it... still am as have walked dogs, checked ned, and am now home and half wrapped up in a quilt.

O bugger it. The Heating Is Going On! It'll be a test before Autumn HaloGrin

Redboxonwheels · 26/08/2018 15:16

Exactly MrsM.

That’s how we found out ours is playing up.
Off to find heating bloke’s number for call first thing Tuesday.

ipodtherforipoor · 26/08/2018 15:19

No heating on but I've just put the duvet back on the bed. Best nights sleep I've had in weeks. I'll be breaking the news to futureDH that it's going back on at his house tonight.
I think we can resist the heating till October at least as we are still sitting about in shorts and vest indoors today.

Gavlaaar · 26/08/2018 15:21

Mine's on for the first time since the snow. Got the big cover on the sofa for me and DD too. Roast dinner cooking with sticky toffee pudding for afters, chucking it down outside. We went to the cinema this morning and got soaked so was straight in a warm bath and tumble dried pjs when we got back. Love this weather

salopek · 26/08/2018 15:21

Not yet. Thermostat says it's 21C inside but I have leggings, socks, and jumper on. Feels much cooler than 21C inside Hmm

MrsMozart · 26/08/2018 15:22

Redbox hope it's easily and not expensively fixed!

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 26/08/2018 15:22

I’m refusing to! Although I am in my winter dressing gownHmm

Redboxonwheels · 26/08/2018 15:29

Thanks MrsM
Hope not! It was only serviced in June but DH thinks it may be a fault with the programmer because the boiler fires up ok, then cuts off.
Oh well, better to sort it out sooner rather than later.

Devonishome1 · 26/08/2018 15:41

Me🖐🏻Mainly to getting washing dry though

beachygirl · 26/08/2018 15:43

Heating on and I am wearing my Christmas socks.

DuchessofManchester · 26/08/2018 15:45

I refuse point blank to put the heating on in August!

ToothTrauma · 26/08/2018 15:46

I’m so enjoying being chilly I wouldn’t dream of it Grin

champagneplanet · 26/08/2018 16:32

Yep, 12 degrees here. Grim for a bank holiday isn't it.

Justmuddlingalong · 26/08/2018 16:35

Seriously considering it here on the east coast of Scotland. I've just stripped the bed and remade it, putting on the new winter quilt I bought on sale during the heatwave. Wink

Floralnomad · 26/08/2018 16:37

I’m SE England and despite the fact that it’s been raining all day it’s still very mild , no fans going today but they will be on in the bedrooms overnight .

Nacreous · 26/08/2018 16:41

If I didn’t put the heating on til it was 5 degrees outside my house would be about 12 degrees and frankly a jumper doesn’t suffice.

DameSquashalot · 26/08/2018 16:42

No yet. With the windows open our thermostat is reading 21.5C. It's very windy and rainy outside. I definitely won't be waiting until it gets to 5C before I put it on.
