It’s cold here, I want that lovely hot weather back.

Oops - set to go off at 18.5 Blush

PuntCuffin · 26/08/2018 13:50

We went to a festival. Got so cold and wet, we packed our tent up and came home a day early. DH has just lit the woodburner to help us dry out.

waterandlemonjuice · 26/08/2018 13:51

Yes we have.

Moominfan · 26/08/2018 13:54

No but today I wore boots and tights :)

seventhgonickname · 26/08/2018 13:55

I had to dig my slippers out,I love wearing handles and may consider socks.

bert3400 · 26/08/2018 13:57

Yes , but I hate being cold . Just got back from Europe where it was in the high 30s , so I feel really cold

FadedRed · 26/08/2018 13:58

Gave in and put it on for a couple of hours this morning. Despite an extra layer and cosy slippers Hmm
Too much joint pain in this chilly dampness to not want to raise the temperature a bit.

romany4 · 26/08/2018 13:59

Yes! I live in a prefab in Yorkshire.
House is freezing.

maxthemartian · 26/08/2018 14:00

Yes I've been sticking mine on as required for the last couple of weeks.

SauvignonBlanche · 26/08/2018 14:00

I was determined to wait until September but gave in an hour ago. Sad

lynmilne65 · 26/08/2018 14:17

Yes

TheSheepofWallSt · 26/08/2018 14:19

Yep... live in an old cottage exposed on three sides, set into on a hill. In Yorkshire.

We’re cold, so on it goes. No hand wringing about environmentalism here- I have a green energy supplier, and don’t drive. I’m allowing myself the right to be warm.

attentionspan · 26/08/2018 14:22

I had the heater on in the car earlier, and l literally said to DH just now that it's cold in the house.

Oh well, I have a load of washing to get dried so I can pack it later for holiday, so I might use that as an excuse to put the heating on Wink

MadMum101 · 26/08/2018 14:24

Not yet. Quite enjoying not feeling sweaty anymore.

Kids duvets have gone back on though as opposed to just having a sheet over them. Just about coping with sheet and quilted bedspread on our bed. May put duvet back on tonight if I can remember where I put it.

purpleme12 · 26/08/2018 14:30

It's 10 degrees here outside but 18 inside. My little girl wanted her hot water bottle! But no can't have the heating on quite yet!

ClashCityRocker · 26/08/2018 14:31

Had it on for an hour this morning to take the age off.

We have ours set to come on at under 20 (mainly for Dh) so it has been coming on a few times.

Whilst I'm glad the temps aren't up where they had been a few weeks ago, I would like a couple more weeks of fair weather before it goes full on autumn!

LeavingInk · 26/08/2018 14:36

Yes I've put it on but I might put it off now.

DMCWelshCakes · 26/08/2018 14:36

Nope, but I am wrapped up in my biggest pashmina. I think it's just shock after the prolonged hot weather.

Reminds us that Autumn is just round the corner.

happymummy12345 · 26/08/2018 14:39

I put ours on for a while this morning. Our house warms up very quick luckily. So I turned it off again. Will put it back on later for sure. Got my blanket out as well.

Redboxonwheels · 26/08/2018 14:39

It’s 12 Dec here and raining.
Switched heating on for a hour to take the edge off the chilliness only to find it’s not working properly!
Glad we found out now and not in October.

Redboxonwheels · 26/08/2018 14:39

Oops 12 deg!

elaine26 · 26/08/2018 14:39

Me, cold and rainy in Scotland

seventhgonickname · 26/08/2018 14:44

When I am tempted I will think of my last fuel bill(£26) and dig out winter jumpers.Dd has put her duvet back on her bed.

MamaHechtick · 26/08/2018 14:48

No but we all have our blankets over us and duvets back on the beds at night.

CatchEmAll · 26/08/2018 14:51

What! Shock People are really putting their heating on? Really.

It's a bit cooler than previous weeks but that's only because we had an unusual spell of very hot weather.

It has to be at least under 5 degrees before I put it on and even then it won't be all day!

What's wrong with a dressing gown or jumper?
