Yes M2F. She knows my view is that she is biologically male whilst identifying as a woman in gender terms.

She was 18 when she told me. I would not have supported the use of puberty blockers.

No, I am not encouraging the change, but I accept it and continue to love my child. I respect her wish to use a different name and pronouns, even though this was difficult for me, especially at first

Have you explained to your child that they are encroaching on the boundaries of women and girls if they use single sex spaces and participate in women's / girls sport?

Do you care about the impact on females of transgenderism?

Have you read about the health implications for cross sex hormones, and the complication that can arise from surgery, and if so how can you sleep at night knowing your child is potentially going to subject themselves to that?

I know three transgender people offline and each of them are socially awkward and don’t have friends. I have wondered if they pin their hopes on this transition changing their lives?

Do they intend to have surgery? Are you expected to support them in that?

My daughter agrees with me that transgender women have no place in women's sports and in safe spaces. Public toilets are a difficulty because she now looks female and would cause discomfort for others in a male toilet. Generally she tries her utmost to avoid using them
