Using a throwaway account for this.

Hey Mumsnet, figured more queer rep was needed on this site.
I'm Genderfluid, which is under the trans umbrella and means my gender is fluid and changes often. I'm also Asexual, and currently questioning my romantic attraction.
Anything phobic will be ignored (I know what this site is like when it comes to trans people) as well as anything I deem too personal. Now, AMA! :)

What are you preferred pronouns? If 'they/them' would you accept any other singular neutral pronouns?

(I ask because I find it grammatically challenging to use a plural pronoun for an individual and hope that a singular alternative will become the norm! 😁)

So it's not ask you anything then.

What makes you feel your gender is defined one way one day and differently the next and how do you demonstrate that change? Is it through clothing, makeup, activities etc?

How do people around you know about this change and do you want them to treat you differently according to the gender you’re feeling that day? If so, how?

What would you do if your car caught fire in a tunnel?

I got distracted and didn’t find the answer to this earlier so I could do with finding out.

Can you tell when you're being fluid and that your levels are changing? Can you be attracted to someone one day and then not the next?

What do you think about lesbian women who aren't attracted to trans women?

Are you on the spectrum? If not, do you agree that there is a link between gender identity and autism?

(Not meant to be goady, genuinely curious to see how people in your community view that point)

That sounds like me, but it's hormones not 'fluid' making me chop and change my attractions from one day to the next.... Curse you, perimenopause!

How many people would actually have to be rescued from the car?

Ooh the answer to this is drive it out of the tunnel if it's safe to do so

Why do you think anyone is interested in your sexuality? Not being sarky, I'm honestly interested in why you think your sexual preferences are so interesting to others?

How do you know which gender you’re feeling and when? What are the points at which you realise the way you’re feeling is how a man usually feels or how a woman usually feels? How do you define the difference?

Breaking down in the Blackwall Tunnel quite literally fuels nightmares for me! God, the horrendous, skin-crawling embarrassment of being that person, making the usual terrible jams even more terrible.

What does feeling different genders feel like?

I don't know if I feel like a woman, I just am a woman.

How does gender fluid differ from ethnicity fluidity? Could my black DH one day say he feels white? Why is that different to gender? He has white heritage but he "presents" as black.
