Hi there girls (or should I say ladies, I know how 'PC' you lot are).

I hear you have some questions for me? Well go ahead, I won't bite - unless you want me to, of course Wink

I think I know you!

Before you had the cabbage van, were you doing cheese deliveries - Cheeses of Nazareth??

Also, is it true that Mrs. Barry is writing a book on gravy making? One Lump or Two?

LizzieSiddal · 01/09/2019 08:44

I’m sure Alan Partridge must have been a friend of yours at some point Barry. You seem to share so many traits.

Did you teach him everything he knows and are you still in touch, despite him being an A lister?

RainingFrogsAndHats · 01/09/2019 10:00

Morning Mars.

That faux rug was comfy. What are we going to do now we've eaten all the sweets?

LaMarschallin · 01/09/2019 11:05

Morning, Raining!
The faux rug wasn't bad, was it?

What are we doing today? Tsk!

Have you forgotten your promise to take me to pole dancing lessons?
Come on, get your coat, you've pulled (and that's just me and Barry so far, you minx).

@RainingFrogsAndHats and @LaMarschallin looks like you have killed a really funny and enjoyable thread.

LaMarschallin · 01/09/2019 17:51

Oh dear.
Sorry.

That really wasn't the intention. It's an excellent thread.

AnneKipanki · 01/09/2019 17:52

Barry ?
Where are you ?

LaMarschallin · 01/09/2019 18:15

Kind of hoping Barry will ignore our foolish, girlish frolics (too much Lambrini on my part, doubtless) and carry on regardless.

Like the trooper he is.

RainingFrogsAndHats · 01/09/2019 18:40

looks like you have killed a really funny and enjoyable thread Cheers for that lovely comment @DodoJesus. Nice.

RainingFrogsAndHats · 01/09/2019 18:41

too much Lambrini on my part, doubtless

I will admit, I had more than my usual thimbleful of sweet sherry last night!

RainingFrogsAndHats · 01/09/2019 18:42

[but no regrets, Mars. You were fabulous!]

LaMarschallin · 01/09/2019 18:52

Mwah!

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 01/09/2019 18:56

Here I am girls, how wonderful to see you getting on so swimmingly!

It will surprise you immensely to learn that my school reports were not terribly good, Anne. I used to get very annoyed and frustrated with the teachers, because they didn't seem to know what they were talking about most of the time! Whenever I tried to put them straight, I'd get a clip round the ear. Of course, the advantage of that approach is that there weren't any of your 'snowflakes' in those days. But it does worry me to think that there's a whole generation of kids out there who believe the nonsense they were fed in school! I mean let's face it, who goes into teaching? People who fancy 30 weeks holiday a year, and couldn't get a proper job.

BARRY!!!!!!

So good to have you back. I expect all those videos were keeping you busy!

Here's a question for you.... what do you think feminism has done for our society in the past 50 years or so?

AnneKipanki · 01/09/2019 19:07

Ooh @JesusInTheCabbageVan courting abuse there . Last night before school.

Where were you Barry ?
It would have been dead as a dodo if it were not for the entertainment!

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 01/09/2019 19:09

Walking Mrs Barry would be gunning for you if she found out you were even insinuating that her gravy had lumps in it! I've seen grown men cry over her gravy. In a good way.

Mrs Barry and I are about to do battle with one of her legendary (again, in a good way) liver and sausage meat casseroles, but I will be back shortly! Keep the thread warm for me ladies Wink

OP posts:
Shockers · 01/09/2019 19:27

Barry- is the sausagemeat still in its skin?

Shockers · 01/09/2019 19:29

Dodo, that was a bit like when you’re camping, you get a bit tipsy and someone comes to tell you off for giggling outside your tent after 10pm 😬

RainingFrogsAndHats · 01/09/2019 20:19

Grin Grin would it shockers you to know I have been that giggling camper @Shockers more than once

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 01/09/2019 20:41

Lizzie Partridge (sadly never met the fellow) comes across as an excellent, down to earth and very perceptive young man. 'Use a sausage as a breakwater' - who in their life hasn't wanted to give that advice to a loved one who has cast a shadow over the whole day with a, lacklustre fry-up. On a serious note though, I do admire his ability to stay chipper despite having to deal with some very challenging and sub-par individuals.

Barry , where did you and Mrs B vacation this year ?

AnneKipanki · 02/09/2019 09:02

Barry , what is in your Brexit stockpile ?

I have pink unicorn cake decorations , Pernod , and Mimmolette cheese ( which will last for centuries ).
I am not going to bother with toilet paper though. Plenty of woodland near me and lots of big leaves .

Shockers · 02/09/2019 11:07

I think you may be one of my regular camping companions @RainingFrogsAndHats... Wink
