VLCD/Meal Replacement on 1st Jan

Hi everyone!

I’m starting a VLCD (Slim and Save) on 1st Jan and wondering is anyone starting too? Or Cambridge, Exabte etc and maybe we could keep each other motivated?

I’m starting Exante on the first. I will be having 2/3 products and a 200 cal, low carb meal to start with and see how it goes.

Me too! I’m going to do a mix of Exante and Slim and Save. For the first week I’ll be including a meal as I have 2 events to attend, but after that I’m doing 100% TFR.

Are you all set? I’ve followed a bazillion people on Instagram for inspiration, Dual Dynamics (its Cambridge but they’re all the same premise) are amazing! I was watching the before and after videos on their page and I’m so impressed!

I only have shakes and just enough to last 2 weeks so I’ll make another order after week 1 (I’ve let myself down too many times in the past!)
What companies do you guys recommend?

I’m starting exante tomorrow I’m a fatty and heavier than everNn need to loose 2-3 stone.

I'm starting tomorrow. I've started Slim and Save so many times that I'm a platinum member but once I hit a stone off I get complacent and fall off.

I also spend much of the first week self sabotaging and convincing myself I will be better doing slimming world/Dukan/Aitkens etc.

This time I have 3 stone to lose and I'm getting every pound off.

Anyway, pressed reply too soon. I'm currently 12stone, none of my clothes fit, I feel terrible. I'm sticking to it till I hit 8st 7 this time.

I bought a mix of shakes and meals from Exante on Black Friday. I have enough to do two weeks (of three products) but our Superdrug stocks some so I can pick up as needed whilst I wait for an order. We are hosting twice next week. Just drinks and a buffet. I plan to plate my 200 cal meal, pretend I’ve picked it from the buffet and drink water in a wine glass!

Hello, this is the thread I was looking for for! I'm on slim and save starting today. I've got my water bottle next to me and am starting to work my way through my water target. I'm also going to be following Yoga with Adriennes January program, it doesn't start until tomorrow so I've done an old one - yoga for when you are stuck - felt appropriate. Goodbye 2018, hello 2919!

Good morning and happy new year! I was tossing and turning at 2am wanting to go down and finish all the goodies (because I made myself stop eating right before 12) how bad is that blush I didn’t though as I don’t want to give myself any excuses to fall off! I can imagine the “oh I’ll just start next Monday because that’s the end of the holidays” etc!

@rainbowgrimm I just looked up that yoga it looks great! That’s one of my New Years resolutions to get into yoga because I’m big into meditation and gratitude etc (I know, I know smile I’m that the anti MNer!)

Excited to get started today! Especially starting on 1st as you always see before and after pics of January starts so let’s not feel shame that we didn’t achieve our goals!

I'm stating Exante tomorrow. Done it before and lost 7 stone in 2016 but have since put a couple back on. Currently around 14 I think but don't dare to weigh. Aiming for 10 by Easter.

Started cambridge today! 3 products and a 200kcl meal. Feeling good but weeing LOADS! I have 9 stone to lose so this will be a looong one!

How's everyones first day been? I've had all my packs and am on my way to hitting 4litres of water. Planning on a bath and early to bed to prevent any evening picking.

rainbowgrimm I will be in bed early tonight also! Going to have a nice hot shower (we don't have a bath) using a face mask and chilling with a book.

Have you found the addition of so much water has made you pee soo much more than normal? I lost count of visits to the loo at about 6 haha

I'm feeling fine but I always find the first day quite easy. It's the 3rd and 4th days I struggle a bit.

I'm determined that this is the last time I do this though so I'm not going to overthink it too much.

I think the best way is to just take each day as it comes. I always find I have loads of motivation the first few days but then that dwindles out. Trying to think of each day as day 1 (if that makes sense) to see if that helps at all

Weighed after day one, I’ve decided to do the flexi solution as I will look forward to my healthy meal. So Monday was 12’11.4 today 12’9.8 so nearly 2 lbs. yes it’s water but I feel less bloated. Had my vanilla shake I’m no keen at all but downed it. I am now going to strip beds! I think keeping busy is the only way for the next few days. Also went to bed at 7 with the dc’s to read my book to avoid temptation. I’m a lone parent so it not like I have someone to stay up with!!

I'm back on exante today.

Weighed myself this morning and I'm 14st 13lb 8oz. I'm 5'1". My goal weight is 9st 7lb. I need to get my BMI to 30 asap for medical reasons.

I was going to do 2 products and a healthy low carb dinner but looking at that, I might just do the 3 again.

I'm going to the gym later. I'm not back at work until the 7th so it should be dead in there (hopefully) so I can get a bit of confidence in there before I have to go at peak time/it's busy.
